Introduction Connecticut’s maritime industry is an essential driver of the state’s economy and has been for over three centuries. Today the maritime industry in Connecticut creates an estimated annual impact of more than $11 billion dollars in output and supports For this report, a “maritime activity” is nearly 60,000 jobs (Figure I.1).1 This study examines defined as a water-related activity this total impact as it originates across the complete connected to, on or near a navigable spectrum of maritime industry activities in the state waterway. The federal license requires daylight transits only. This approval for licensure is for the Thames River North of the Bridges. 5. Continuing Business A. Extension of Route Bridgeport Harbor – Legislation Revisions to CGS Chapter 263, Section 15-13. Bill Gash provided an update, the CT Maritime Commission met with the Minority Leader of the State Legislature in which the amendment language to the statute can possibly get added to a bill on the floor for passage.
