He is born in the village Dohazari under Chandanaish Upazila in Chittagong district on 12a January 1971. His father Late Alhaj Ahammad Shah was a retired Superintendent of Police and valiant freedom fighter. He participated in the war of liberation and fought against the Pakistan Army in the area of Faridgonj sector, Raipur thana under the then greater Noakhali District with the then Relief and Rehabilitation minister and speaker Late Md. Abdul Malek Ukil, He joined the war of liberation under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. His mother Late Alhaj Monwara Begum was, a pious woman, hails from a Sufi family. Education Mohammad Golamur Rahman was a meritorious student from a reputed high school named Dohazari High School. He got stipend in class eight and got 1St division with star marks and stood 1St in whole Upazila in the SSC examination in 1986 from Science Group. He got admitted in Dhaka Notredame College on 1987. Due to his father’s transfer, he got admitted in Govt. Hazi Mohammad Mohsin College and passed HSC exam in 1988 from Science Group. Then he got admitted in Chittagong University in the year 1987-1988 session and passed honors’ degree in English literature and language. After that, he obtained M.A degree and got 4* position according to merit from Chittagong University. Some Important features about his service life: • He worked as Magistrate 1St Class. • He worked as Assistant Commissioner (Land). • He has served as a 1st Class Magistrate in the Speedy Trial Court. • He has served as Revenue Deputy Collector, Nejarat Deputy Collector and Magistrate 1St Class in different cognizance court’s in Barisal & Noakhali district. • He was pioneer in materializing online birth registration pilot project in Ukhia Upazila and Rohinga Refugee Camp and achieved 100% goal under local government ministry. • He was pioneer to start Union Digital Centre (UDC) from Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. • He served as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education, Development & ICT) in Comilla District. • He served as Additional District Magistrate in Comilla District. Hon’ble Chief Justice Mohammad Muzammel Hossain inspected his court and expressed satisfactory views regarding court activities. • He achieved the criteria of Cabinet Division disposing the cases of preventive sections. • He assisted the district magistrate in running smooth law & order situation in district as the member secretary of the law and order committee in Comilla. • He participated India & Bangladesh Joint Border (DM-DC) Conference in Tripura, India. Achievements He achieved one of the best Additional District Magistrate crest and he has received this crest from respected Principal Secretary Janab Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, Senior Secretary, Office of the honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh in the prize giving ceremony held in Circuit House, Chittagong organized by office of the Divisional Commissioner, Chittagong. He achieved the national certificate Scout Certificate for the Development of Scout activities. Under the direction of District Magistrate and supervision, Comilla District achieved 1st position for 18 (eighteen) times regarding mobile court driving in Bnagladesh. As an Additional District Magistrate in 2014, he achieved the criteria of Cabinet Division in reducing the cases of preventive sections. When the pending cases position was above 6500, he took crush program to reduce pending cases and he worked with name and fame regarding magistracy in Comilla District. Mohammad Golamur Rahman, nominated as a trainee in the 18th Mid-Career program in Mussorie in India from 27 july 2015 to 08 August 2015. He achieved the crest of 1st position regarding the group presentation in the whole trainee groups. Trainee Received 1 . Trainee received in Bangladesh 28th Foundation Training Course at BPATC, Dhaka. (Achieved A Grade) 45th Law & Administration Training Course at BCS Training Academy, Dhaka. (Achieved A+ Grade) 46th Army Orientation Course under Army Headquarter. (Achieved A Grade) Survey & Settlement Trainer on RTI Information Commission and selected trainee for TOT. Completed on the job training successfully. Training received in foreign Country 18th Mid-Career Training Program in Mussoorie, India and achived the crest for the best group presenter in the whole trainee group. .
