The goal of the program is to increase private-sector agricultural production and agri- businesses, thereby improving the economic conditions of the rural populations in the Philippines particularly Mindanao. The project’s purpose is to increase the number of viable micro enterprises and small businesses in the livestock sector through deployment of

Being the coordinator, I was responsible of the overall project coordination, office administration, logistics, client identification, communication between the local WWFtF clients, Land O’Lakes Arden Hills Office, USAID Office in Manila and various local organizations, follow-up visits with program recipients, program impact assessment, WWFtF clients needs assessment, managing office expenses, and writing quarterly and impact reports on program progress. I also worked closely with the volunteer-consultants gaining a hands-on experience with the technical assistance being served to the clients.

Technical assistance extended by the program were on beef cattle production, dairy cattle production, cattle feedlot fattening operation, pork/swine production, water buffalo production, feed milling, pasture and forage development, farm mechanization, waste management, plant sanitation, meat processing, animal product and by-product development, marketing, product development and business plan preparation.

In-Country Coordinator, Cooperative Development Program (CDP) of the Federation of Cattle Raisers Associations of the Philippines and Land O’Lakes International, Inc. A Project funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The Cooperative Development Program was designed to extend technical assistance through training to the agricultural-based cooperatives in Mindanao. HRTM 485/885: Advanced Lodging Operations (Spring 2011, 2012) Senior management techniques required to operate a lodging facility applying strategic and critical thinking with case study analysis to solve problems. HRTM 289: Introduction to the Event Industry (Fall 2010, 2011, 2013; Spring 2013, 2014, 2015; Summer 2014) This course will introduce students to those concepts and topics necessary for the comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of the meetings, conventions, events, and exposition industries. The course will review the roles of the organizations and people involved in the businesses that comprise the MEEC industry.

HRTM 109: Travel and Tourism (Fall 2007, 2008) Survey of travel and tourism; focus on concepts, terminology, demographics, financial significance and .

HRTM 204: Facility Management (Spring 2008, 2009, 2010; Fall 2009) Fundamentals of the role, cost, design, maintenance and management of hospitality and health care facilities. Emphasis on the concept and interface of building systems, trends, sustainability, safety, wastewater, electrical, illumination, food service equipment, heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Prereq: Math 105 with a minimum grade of “C”. Restr: Hospitality Management and Dietetics majors or permission of instructor. To enroll in any Hospitality Management course numbered 300 and above, a student must be in Upper Division and meet course prerequisites. Not all courses are offered every semester.

Adaption of the Knowledge Matters Virtual Business – Hotel Simulation for the HMS 380: Advanced Lodging Operations course. The simulation teaches hospitality administration students to operate and manage a hotel property virtually (Spring 2019).

Adaption of the REDGlobal Rev Simulation for the HMS 480: Hospitality Administration course. The World’s leading hotel revenue optimization training simulation. An Achievement focused and competency-based learning. Individuals or teams operate as member of the hotels executive committee with a leading focus on revenue optimization. Hotels compete with each other in real time and within the realistic market dynamics of a competitive set of hotels. As in a real market, the competitive strategies and decisions of each hotel affect both its results and the results of all of the other hotels in the competitive set. A hotel’s market share, revenue share, and financial results depend on its ability to construct, promote, and deliver a competitive price/value proposition to the market. (Fall 2018).

Made-In-Oklahoma Dinner (2005-2006). A fund-raiser dinner organized by the graduate students in the HRA department. This event showcases the products that are made/produce in the State of Oklahoma. Proceeds from this event will be used to fund graduate students research and presentations. I was part of the service and logistics committee. I also helped in the food preparation and cleaning up.

Hospitality Days (2002-2004). Helped in the preparation of the plenary session and career fair of the students in the school.

Chef’s Event (2000-2006). This is a fund-raising event of the school to raise scholarship funds for the HRA students. This is culminated by a full service dinner which showcases students as server, wine servers, managers, and cooks. Worked in the kitchen under the supervision of the invited chef.

Webinar, "Building a More Inclusive Syllabus: Welcoming Students' Identities Before Classes Event Start", Office of Multicultural Affairs. (August 8, 2020). This session will guide participants to analyze their current syllabi for policies and wording that could be culturally unaware/discriminate against their learners. The session will facilitate discussion about policies and statements that can be added to help students of diverse identities feel more welcomed before they even come to class; for example, including notifications about existing University-based assistance: HungerJacks, Counseling Services, etc., including professor's pronouns in syllabus introductions, and including letters from the University President (like the one welcoming DACA students) to establish an inclusive community that allows students to focus on learning. Assignments are easy to recycle until they reach the point of being old and tired. In this session, we'll consider assignments as learning experiences, generate new ideas for enhancing the learning potential of assignments, and evaluate how design details influence the learning that occurs when students complete an assignment.

We think of them as demonstrations of what students know and can do. Assignments are easy to recycle until they reach the point of being old and tired. In this session, we'll consider assignments as learning experiences, generate new ideas for enhancing the learning potential of assignments, and evaluate how design details influence the learning that occurs when students complete an assignment.
