PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Glycophorin A: According to the literature this antibody recognizes a papain-sensitive epitope in the Premixed antibodies to human CD55, CD59, and Glycophorin A for three- extracellular domain of the sialoglycoprotein color flow cytometry. known as glycophorin A (CD235a)3. This molecule is expressed on mature red cells Antibody Clone Isotype as well as on erythroid precursor cells. Mouse anti-human CD55 R-PE 67 (N-L063) mouse IgG1 Mouse anti-human CD59 FITC MEM-43 mouse IgG2a Leukocyte Workshop Status: Mouse anti-human Glycophorin A CLB-ery-1 (AME-1) mouse IgG1 67 (N-L063): VIth Leukocyte Workshop Lot No.: See label Expiration: See label MEM-43: IVth Leukocyte Workshop CLB-ery-1: VIIth Leukocyte Workshop Buffer: Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) PRODUCT QUALITY CONTROL Preservative: 0.1% sodium azide. Sodium azide is an extremely toxic and dangerous compound particularly when combined with acids or metals. Each lot is tested by flow cytometry using human red blood cells. Solutions containing sodium azide should be disposed of properly. This testing was performed using 15 µl of antibody per 10 µl with 75 µl PBS to achieve a total staining volume of 100 µl. Stabilizer: A highly purified grade of BSA has been added as a stabilizing Because conditions may vary, it is suggested that each investigator agent. determine the optimal amount of antibody to be used for each application. See reverse for representative flow cytometry data. STORAGE & HANDLING REFERENCES: Store reagents at 2-8°C. Light exposure should be avoided. Use dim during handling, incubation with cells and prior to analysis. It is recommended 1. Knapp, W., B. Dörken, W. R. Gilks, E. P. Rieber, R. E. that cells be analyzed within 18 hours of staining. If the reagent is being Schmidt, H. Stein, and A. E. G. K. Von dem Borne eds. 1989. diluted, it is recommended that only the quantity to be used within one week be Leukocyte Typing IV. This molecule also serves as an adhesion molecule through the binding of CD2 on T cells. The CD59 antigen is expressed on cells of hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic origin.

The above data were generated using a FACSCalibur™ flow cytometer analyzed with CellQuest™ software, BD Biosciences, San Jose, CA. Quadrant markers were set based on the fluorescence profiles of unstained cells.

Note: Flow cytometric data shown may not necessarily have been generated using the enclosed lot of reagent. For this reason, and due to differences in flow cytometers and cytometer settings, results may vary from those illustrated above. It is suggested that investigators titrate reagents to determine optimal conditions for use in their systems.
