Cronton Students Experience the University of Oxford

Talented students who are part of the Prestigious Universities Programme had the great opportunity to take part in an educational residential stay at the University of Oxford to explore the facilities and meet teaching staff and students. The students were able to gain first- hand experience of what academic life at one of the top universities in the country is like.

Luke MacMahon, Head of the Prestigious Universities Programme said, “I was so pleased with the College’s trip to Oxford. The students had the opportunity to gain a real sense of what life at the University would be like and to see first-hand what studying for a degree would involve. Most importantly, they worked with current Oxford students who did a brilliant job of demonstrating that the only thing you need to succeed at an elite university is academic ability – something they all already have.”
