NURSING LEADS SIX SUBJECTS TO TOP 50 IN QS WORLD RANKINGS 8 March 2017 Nursing at the University is ranked 10th in the world and third in the UK according to the QS World Rankings by Subject 2017. The Rankings also feature five other subjects where Southampton is ranked amongst the top 50 in the world: • Archaeology – 29th globally and eighth in the UK; • Earth and Marine Sciences – 31st globally and ninth in the UK; • Engineering – Mineral & Mining – 40th globally and first in the UK; • Hospitality & Leisure Management – 48th globally and seventh in the UK; • Performing Arts – 50th globally and 14th in the UK.

It is with great sadness that we inform staff and students of the untimely passing of George Lewith, Professor of Health Research within the Department of Primary Care.
