EARTH DAY CHALLENGES YIELD RESULTS Headquarters employees made great strides on Earth Day. According to the Employee Activities Committee, more than 40 pounds of batteries were collected for recycling. Of the employees who participated, LCI staff took the following actions to improve the environment:

• Turned off the faucet while brushing their teeth (100 percent)

• Prepared lunch instead of eating out (96 percent)

• Separated paper from other trash in the office (96 percent)

• Used a reusable water bottle (84 percent)
