Jackson) After the cataclysmic events in New York with »The Avengers«, this fun and action-packed sequel finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Wid- ow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and his team soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy: the Winter Soldier. Her e (D: Spike Jonze; Cast: Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, voice of Scarlett Johansson) Acclaimed director Spike Jonze (»Being John Malkovich«, »Adaptation«, »Where the Wild Things Are«) takes the helm for this strange, silly, sincere, sweet and seriously smart comedy about a with- drawn writer (Phoenix) who falls in love with his computer’s highly advanced operating system. Set in LA, slightly in the future, the film follows Theodore Twombly, a complex, soulful man who makes his living writing touching, personal letters for other people. Heartbroken after the end of a long relationship, he becomes intrigued with ‘Sa- mantha’ (Johansson), the bright, female voice of his computer’s new operating system. As her needs and desires grow, in tandem with his own, their friendship deepens into an eventual love for each other. Nymphomaniac 2 e (D: Lars von Trier; Cast: Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgård, Shia Laboef, Willem Dafoe) Astonishing, energising and exciting, »Nymphomaniac« tells the story of Joe (Gainsbourg), a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac who is discovered badly beaten in an alley by an older bachelor, Seligman (Skarsgård), who takes her into his home. As he tends to her wounds, she recounts the erotic life story. While Part One of the daring drama covered Joe’s adolescence and young-adulthood, the second film picks up with the story of her adulthood, where her journey of self-discovery leads to even darker complications. A fearless, challenging and daring film made by a man with a tremendous lust for life in all its cruelty, absurdity and richness. Snowpiercer e (D: Joon-ho Bong; Cast: Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, John Hurt, Ed Harris) Based on a French graphic novel, the highly antici- pated English-language debut of acclaimed filmmaker Bong Joon-ho (»The Host«, »Memories of Murder«) is a sci-fi post-apocalyptic action film set in a future where a failed experiment to stop global warm- ing has created an Ice Age, which kills off all life on the planet. The only survivors are the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a massive train that travels around the planet and is powered by a perpetual-motion engine. Over time, a class system evolves on the train; tired of their poor living conditions, the poor riders in the back revolt, attempting to seize control of the engine, which the elites in the front consider sacred. A tour de force of science fiction, this dystopian adventure is a singular and breathtaking cinematic experience. Rio 2 in 3D e (Rio 2 - Dschungelfieber) (D: Carlos Saldanha; Voices: Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Leslie Mann, Jamie Foxx) In this entertaining sequel to 2011’s hugely popu- lar animated adventure, we find Blu, Jewel and their three kids liv- ing the perfect domesticated life in that magical city. However, when Jewel decides the kids need to learn to live like real birds, she insists the family venture into the Amazon. As Blu tries to fit in with his new neighbors, he goes beak-to-beak with the vengeful Nigel, worries he may lose Jewel and the kids to the call of the wild, and meets the most fearsome adversary of all - his father-in-law. Comical, colorful, huge- hearted, and with a running beat of lively music, it’s a wonderful film for both kids and parents to enjoy. .

  • Loki Production Brief
PRODUCTION BRIEF “I am Loki, and I am burdened with glorious purpose.” —Loki arvel Studios’ “Loki,” an original live-action series created exclusively for Disney+, features the mercurial God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow. The series, described as a crime-thriller meets epic-adventure, takes place after the events Mof “Avengers: Endgame.” “‘Loki’ is intriguingly different with a bold creative swing,” says Kevin Feige, President, Marvel Studios and Chief Creative Officer, Marvel. “This series breaks new ground for the Marvel Cinematic Universe before it, and lays the groundwork for things to come.” The starting point of the series is the moment in “Avengers: Endgame” when the 2012 Loki takes the Tesseract—from there Loki lands in the hands of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), which is outside of the timeline, concurrent to the current day Marvel Cinematic Universe. In his cross-timeline journey, Loki finds himself a fish out of water as he tries to navigate—and manipulate—his way through the bureaucratic nightmare that is the Time Variance Authority and its by-the-numbers mentality. This is Loki as you have never seen him. Stripped of his self- proclaimed majesty but with his ego still intact, Loki faces consequences he never thought could happen to such a supreme being as himself. In that, there is a lot of humor as he is taken down a few pegs and struggles to find his footing in the unforgiving bureaucracy of the Time Variance Authority. As the series progresses, we see different sides of Loki as he is drawn into helping to solve a serious crime with an agent 1 of the TVA, Mobius, who needs his “unique Loki perspective” to locate the culprits and mend the timeline.
