Enang(Akwa Ibom North-East) drew the attention of the Senate to a petition from his constituent, Mrs Inimfon Chris, on the discrimination against the female gender in the recruitment exercise into the Federal Service. He urged the Senate to look into the matter. Petition laid and accordingly referred to the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions [Rule 41 (3)}. (il) Rising on Rule 41, Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman (Kogi Central) drew the attention of the Senate to a petition by Mr Ibrahim Oricha Yusuf alleging unlawful dismissal after twenty-five (25) years in service by the Nigerian Customs Service because of his disability. He urged the Senate to look into the matter. Petition laid and accordingly referred to the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions [Rule 41 (3)]. s.
