The main aim and objective is to encourage and assist with the preservation, care, use and publication of historical records. A court book, 1678-1710, of the manor of Deuddwr, co. Montgomery was transferred to Minor Deposits, 290B. Maps and plans are also held at NLW. Further papers relating to the Voelas and Cefnamwlch, Ashburnham, Glanusk, Gwynfryn, and Tredegar Park Estates, are also held in NLW. Some documents relating to Nantgwyllt in the 1940 deposit were transferred in 1956 from NLW to Major-General R. S. Lewis and subsequently transferred to the Powys Record Office, Llandrindod Wells (R/D/BRA/259). Further papers relating to Voelas and Cefnamwlch estate are in University of Wales Bangor Archives Department and Gwynedd Archives, Caernarfon Record Office.
