About the EDUCATIONAL THEATRE ASSOCIATION

The Educational Theatre Association is a national nonprofit organization with approximately 100,000 student and professional members. EdTA’s mission is shaping lives through theatre education by: honoring student achievement in theatre and enriching their theatre education experience; supporting teachers by providing professional development, networking opportunities, resources, and recognition; and influencing public opinion that theatre education is essential and builds life skills. About the INTERNATIONAL THESPIAN SOCIETY The International Thespian Society is an honorary organization for high school and middle school theatre students located at more than 4,600 affiliated secondary schools across the U.S., Canada, and abroad. The mission of ITS is to honor student achievement in the theatre arts, and since its founding in 1929, more than 2.2 million students have been inducted as Thespians. It is the portal to microsites for segments of membership and for major events like the International Thespian Festival and the EdTA National Conference. Digital editions of the association’s publications are accessed through the site. It averages about 18,000 users and 163,000 page views per month.

E-NEWSLETTER EDTA NEWS & NOTES

The News & Notes e-newsletter is distributed to approximately 5,400 adult members of EdTA on the 5th and 20th every month. Since its inception in 2015, the open rate has been steadily growing and is now averaging over 22%. The click- through rate is currently at 2.25%. And, most recently, the opt-out rate is zero. The contents include a variety of updates about association and related programs that are directly relevant to members’ roles as theatre teachers, teaching artists, and leading industry professionals.
