It lists former Fellows from the foundation of the Society in 1783 to October 2002. Most are deceased Fellows up to and including the list given in the RSE Directory 2003 (Session 2002-3) but some former Fellows who left the Society by resignation or were removed from the roll are still living. HISTORY OF THE PROJECT Information on the Fellowship has been kept by the Society in many ways – unpublished sources include Council and Committee Minutes, Card Indices, and correspondence; published sources such as Transactions, Proceedings, Year Books, Billets, Candidates Lists, etc. All have been examined by the compilers, who have found the Minutes, particularly Committee Minutes, to be of variable quality, and it is to be regretted that the Society’s holdings of published billets and candidates lists are incomplete. The late Professor Neil Campbell prepared from these sources a loose-leaf list of some 1500 Ordinary Fellows elected during the Society’s first hundred years. He listed name and forenames, title where applicable and national honours, profession or discipline, position held, some information on membership of the other societies, dates of birth, election to the Society and death or resignation from the Society and reference to a printed biography.

    CORNWALL AND ISLES OF SCILLY LANDSCAPE CHARACTER STUDY Landscape Character Area Description LCA - Fowey Valley LCA No CA21 JCA Constituent LDUs Total 11: 243, 252, 253, 254, 255, 377U, 378, 379, 382, 383, 386 © Crown copyright. All rights reserved. Cornwall County Council 100019590, 2008. Location This area comprises the river system of the River Fowey and its tributaries from Bodmin Moor (LCA32) and the eastern plateau (LCA 22 South East Cornwall Plateau) and includes the estate parkland of Lanhydrock (National Trust). Designations 5 LDUs are partly covered by the Cornwall AONB designation; 2 contain SSSIs; 2 are partly covered by the Gribbin Head to Polperro Heritage Coast designation. One LDU contains a SACs site and 1 an NNR; 7 contain SMs and 5 CGS. Description This Landscape Character Area is comprised of the River Fowey and its tributaries and the Fowey ria, the latter of which is navigable and the former non navigable. The upper tributaries of the River Fowey flow from Bodmin Moor through steep sided and heavily wooded stream valleys with a strong sense of enclosure. These tributaries flow into the main channel of the Fowey which winds east to west through the Glynn Valley. The valley widens out into the mature parkland ornamental landscape of Lanhydrock House with its woodland conifer plantations and more recent shelter belts. Past Lanhydrock, the River turns south towards Lostwithiel and flows through well wooded farmland, grading into the Fowey ria across a floodplain of wet woodland, wetland, saltmarsh and then intertidal mudflats. The ria tributaries flow from the plateau ground to the east and west with the main creeks of Penpol, Pont Pill and Lerryn, on the eastern side of the river, flowing from the South East Cornwall Plateau (LCA 22).

Still seem to be small amounts of work going on. Cllr Batters confirmed officially it is finished. • The bend at Millpool – road is narrow on the bend, so 2 cars can’t pass there. Highways England at fault re design but Cllr Batters confirmed they are unlikely to change it. But he suggested clerk to email him the concerns raised. • Blisland Gate – now replaced with wire. • Trees and hedge overhanging Highway. Clerk to write to relevant person requesting this be cut back. The Devon position was unknown. It was agreed that Simon Toms should be thanked for his very significant contribution to this important development. JE John Tisdale agreed that he would continue to attend IFCA meetings when possible. JT 3. Accounts to December 2017 The Treasurer introduced his report on the position to December 2017. 1. Current position. The hatchery payments are ring fenced and currently £9337 in credit because the latest SWW payment had been received. The dedicated hatchery account had been opened. The funds in SWW for FFRG currently stand at £3,041. Total funds available to FRA are £26,863 less commitments for the Fry survey and sanctuary payments, leaving £21,631. 2. Sanctuary. The sanctuary contracts need to be available by mid February. RW 3. It was noted that Bruce Stockley had agreed that W4G finding would be available for the 2018 fry survey.

    Cornish Buildings Group 'Buildings at Risk' Project Newsletter No.2 November 2020 A new three-year project led by the Cornish Buildings Group and supported by Historic England and the Cornwall Heritage Trust commenced in September 2020. The funding will support a case officer in order to help identify and monitor buildings at risk and seek solutions for neglected, redundant or derelict listed buildings, regardless of listing. Cornish Buildings Group Progress Conversations with interested parties and supporters have continued over the last month. Our project has been covered in online newsletter articles by the Victorian Society, Arts Society, national Federation of Women’s Institutes and the Diocese of Truro. Furthermore, we have given virtual presentations to the Cornwall Archaeological Society and the Cornwall Buildings Preservation Trust. This flurry of activity has attracted new area representatives which, as a result, has brought in nominations for our risk list. We look forward to working with all these groups in the future and are grateful for their co- operation in sharing details of the project across their social media platforms. This outreach work constitutes the first stage of the project which is to get support and recruit volunteer area representatives. We are grateful to our 12 new recruits for coming forward and offering their expertise in monitoring their local areas and reporting concerns. There are still areas of the county that we have not covered, so if you are interested please let us know. If you know of any groups who might welcome a virtual talk (or in person when safe to do so) please make contact.
