The CTS is a version of the NTC with heavy armor. The electrical specs are the same but, what a difference. Superior torque and crush resistance, the design incorporates a stainless steel conduit covered with a stainless steel braid rendering it a virtually indestructible assembly. We actually drove a solid wheeled fork truck across it. This cable is ideal for Production testing or applications where there is excessive twisting and contorting imposed by the process or the operator. The trade off is the min. bend radius: NTC = 1.0 in. CTC = 1.5 in. If RFI/EMI is a concern, the effective shielding under dynamic conditions is in excess of -110 dBc. Flexco Microwave, Inc. The unique, super-flexible outer conductor designs patented by Flexco have enabled systems and test engineers to design-in better performance ever since. Today, Flexco's unique convoluted outer conductor remains unmatched for performance and flexibility during installation and operation. As you compare the specifications in this catalog, check for performance properties your program requires, then compare maximum flexibility. You'll agree: Nobody beats Flexco. Benefits of Flexco's Unique Designs Flexco Microwave's sealed outer conductor is manufactured using a patented process to form a highly flexible, tubular outer conductor from the highest quality copper. Center conductors are silver plated copper. Flexco's patented dielectric processing methods make calculated helical cuts to air-articulated PTFE, nearly creating a flexible "air line." Dielectric cuts are PTFE, polyethylene and expanded PTFE tape. These designs allow for no change in concentricity between the inner and outer conductors during repeated flexing, and therefore no change in electrical performance. • Extreme Flexibility • Lower VSWR • Lower Insertion Loss • Improved Electrical Stability • Lower Phase versus Temperature Coefficient • Better Phase Tracking • Crush Proof and Rugged Under flexure, nobody beats Flexco's ability to maintain phase and amplitude performance - repeatedly over time. Flexco's unique outer conductor and dielectric designs keep the center conductor where it belongs under flexure: Concentric with the outer conductor. The result is superior performance and more precise test results in your application. FLEXible COaxial cable from Flexco Microwave (inset) keeps its shape under flexure while electrical performance remains virtually unchanged. Seamless outer conductors tend to crush and break; braided outer conductors will "cage" at the bottom of the bend and "spread out" at the top - a detriment to performance. A Team Approach: Service, Design, Manufacturing The challenge of any precision interconnection require- ment demands expertise in Design, Manufacturing, and Service. Accordingly, Flexco's "team" approach is organ- ized under these three categories. Service Service oversees all aspects of Flexco's daily operations, and is the driving force behind the company's sustained growth and success. The Service Team interfaces directly Flexco's unique design permits with customers and the sales force, delivery notification, "preforms." and all other aspects of customer service. In addition, this team maintains the thousands of custom cable designs Flexco has amassed over the years, and ensures prompt response to your needs. Company administrative functions, human resources, finance, and marketing are also part of the Service Team. The Design and Development Team heads up all new Having set the standard for flexibility and performance in the outer conductor, Flexco engineers J continue to develop improvements in other cable components. A patented dielectric significantly reduces material content and increases velocity of propagation.
