EDITOR'S PREFACE. Owing to various circumstances the issue of the present Volume of Transactions has been unavoidably delayed, much to the regret of the Editorial Committee. The death of the late accomplished Editor, Dr. Cecil Moore, deprived the Club of the services of one whose long experience and extensive acquaintance with the subjects which engage the interests of its members made him a difficult man to follow, and some time elapsed before arrangements could be made to take up his work. A great quantity of matter, manuscript and printed, had accumulated in Dr. Moore's hands, and at his death was deposited in the Woolhope Library. To sift and prepare for the press what Dr. Moore had intended for publication has been necessarily a work of time, but it is hoped that the Volume now in the hands of members will justify the delay in publication, and prove not altogether unworthy of its predecessors. Owing to the size of the present Volume several interesting papers are held over to the next Volume. For the carefully prepared Index to the Volume the Club is indebted to Mr. Sledmere. V. Acta Palaeontologica Polonica 64 (2): 261–273. Euarthropods have a tough exoskeleton that provides crucial protection from predation and parasitism. However, this is restrictive to growth and must be periodically moulted. The moulting sequence is well-known from extant arthropods, consisting of: (i) the long inter-moult stage, in which no changes occur to the hardened exoskeleton; (ii) the pre-moult stage where the old exoskeleton is detached and the new one secreted; (iii) exuviation, when the old exoskeleton is moulted; and (iv) the post-moult stage during which the new exoskeleton starts as soft, thin, and partially compressed and gradually hardens to the robust exoskeleton of the inter-moult stage. Trilobite fossils typically consist of inter-moult carcasses or moulted exuviae, but specimens preserving the post-moult stage are rare. Here we describe nine specimens assigned to Symphysurus ebbestadi representing the first group of contemporaneous fossils collected that preserve all key stages of the moulting process in one taxon, including the post-moult stage. They were collected from a single lens in the Tremadocian part of the Fezouata Shale Formation, Morocco. Based on cephalic displacement and comparison to other trilobite moults, one specimen appears to represent a moulted exoskeleton.

    Polish Botanical Journal 54(1): 41–53, 2009 CRITICAL REVIEW OF RUSSULA SPECIES (AGARICOMYCETES) KNOWN FROM TATRA NATIONAL PARK (POLAND AND SLOVAKIA) ANNA RONIKIER & SLAVOMÍR ADAMČÍK Abstract. All available published data on the occurrence of Russula species in Tatra National Park are summarized. Excluding the doubtful data, which are discussed herein, 66 species are recognized in Tatra National Park. Within each of the three main geomorphological units of the range, 42 species were recorded in the West Tatras, 18 in the High Tatras, and 16 in the Belanské Tatry Mts; additionally, 35 species were found in areas outside the Tatra Mts but within the National Park borders. Montane forests are the richest in Russula species (58); 13 species were found in the subalpine and 8 in the alpine belt. The number of reported species is highest in the Polish part of the West Tatra Mts; almost no data are available from the Slovak High Tatras. The smallest unit, the Belanské Tatry Mts, is the Tatra region best studied for alpine species. In comparison to other regions in Poland and Slovakia, Tatra National Park seems to be relatively well investigated, but in view of the richness of habitats in the Tatra Mts, we believe the actual diversity of Russula species in the region is higher than presently known. The list, comprising 624 species in the families Lasiocampidae, Endromidae, Saturniidae, Sphingidae, Notodontidae, Noctuidae, Pantheidae, Lymantriidae, Nolidae and Arctiidae from the Southern Ural Mountains is presented. The material was collected during 1996–2001 in 10 different expeditions. Dichagyris lux Fibiger & K. According to a narrative concerning the early years of Holy Trinity priory in Aldgate, London, known only from fifteenth-century manuscripts, Bernard prior of Dunstaple, John prior of Launde (Landa), Geoffrey de Clinton, the (king’s) chamberlain (Gaufridus camerarius de Clinton), and others named, witnessed the gift of the Cnihtengild in London to Holy Trinity in that year. It is unsurprising that the priors of two recently founded Augustinian houses should witness a gift to Holy Trinity, thought to be the first Augustinian house in England. Their names were presumably taken from a contemporary deed or other record which has not been preserved (Hodgett, Cartulary of Holy Trinity, 168, no. 871; R. R. Sharpe, Calendar of Letter Books, C, 220). The king’s confirmation of the gift, 000, Regesta 1467, also witnessed by Geoffrey de Clinton, is apparently authentic and datable 1123 × 1127, so the narrative’s date of 1125 may well be accurate. Launde priory was founded at Loddington, ‘in cuius territorio abbatia fundata est’, according to Henry II’s general confirmation of 1155 × 1158 (H2/1456).

These specimens were collected with light trap. After collection specimens Multan, Pakistan were killed in potassium cyanide poison then preserved in wooden box. To identify male and female genitalia the abdominal portion was removed from body of insect with the help of forceps by providing Asad Bashir uphill jerk then dip into solution of KOH for twenty-four hour. Dissection of genitalia was done with fine Department of Entomology, needles under stereo microscope. As the result 7 noctuid species such as; Helicoverpa zea, Helicoverpa University of Agriculture armigera, Spodoptera litura, Spodoptera exigua, Chrysodeixis furihatai okan, Argrotis ypsilon, and Faisalabad Pakistan, Agriculture Agrotis cinearia belonging to different genus were described from District Multan. Identification was University Road Faisalabad Zahid Mahmood Sarwar done with the help of available literature, keys, and monograph and internet resources. The Oub shall be called the Herefordshire Ornithological Oub. 2. OBJECTS. The objects of the Club shall be (a) to further the study of birds in the field, and (b) to assist in their preservation. 3. MEMBERSHIP. The Oub shall consist of a President, a Chairman, a Secretary, a Field Secretary, a Treasurer, an Editor, a Recorder, and Ten Committee Members and Ordinary Members. The President and the Chairman to retire after serving a term of three years. The Secretaries, the Treasurer, the Recorder and the Editor shall be elected annually. The three senior of the ten Ordinary Members of the Com­ mittee shall retire annually and they shall not be eligible for re-election for a period of 12 months. The Officers and Ordinary Members of the Committee shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting and the Officers shall be eligible for re-election.
