Impact report 2018 - 19 1 Chairman of Brentford FC CEO of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust Community Sports Trust Ian Dobie Lee Doyle It is a privilege to write the introduction to this year’s Impact Report, which provides an insight into the scope Since our last impact report entitled ‘Playing the Long Game’ (2016), we have increased the number of activities and diversity of the Trust’s impact in the local community. and opportunities that Brentford FC Community Sports Trust offers. We are particularly interested in the individual stories of our participants and staff which are told in this report. Whether it is supporting young carers to develop a passion for photography or empowering young girls to unleash their footballing talent, the Trust continues to encourage countless people to realise Our projects now combine health, education and social care. E da quel giorno, quando si avvicina la sfida della Capitale, in redazione c’è sempre l’idea di chiamare il santone boemo per farsi raccontare davvero cosa gli saltò in mente di dire quel giorno a Formello, oppure come si fa a perdere quattro derby in una stagione, come successe a lui più tardi sulla panchina giallorossa… Per noi calciofili il derby è una malattia, un bubbone che cresce lentamente nella pelle per poi esplodere due volte all’anno, una attesa che dura una stagione, una partita da cui possono dipendere amicizie, litigate casalinghe, giorni in cui non vorresti mai uscire di casa oppure al contrario non vedi l’ora di farti vedere dai tuoi amici o semplici conoscenti del quartiere, tu e il tuo sorriso «da derby». -
