After scoring 185 fantasy points in 2018/19, Alexander-Arnold earned over 700 more minutes throughout the 2019/20 campaign and topped the 200-point mark. No player has delivered more FPL assists over the previous two seasons than Alexander-Arnold with 28. Considered FPL’s most prolific scoring defender, the 21-year old Trent Alexander-Arnold right back finished in the Top 5 in each of the following statistical categories last year: crosses (1st), assists 1 (Defender-7.5) (2nd), big chances created (2nd), key passes (3rd), corners taken (4th), and shots from set pieces (4th). Alexander-Arnold’s lofty numbers earned a stiff starting price of 7.5, but of the eight players to finish with 200- plus points last season, he is the least expensive, which means many fantasy managers will make him the first name on their team sheet.

In 2019/20, Salah’s 19 goals and 10 fantasy assists were down compared to the 2018/19 campaign, when he totaled 22 goals and 12 assists. Since his magical 2017/18 season, when he scored 32 goals and totaled 303 fantasy points, his FPL numbers have dipped in back-to-back years. Still, he has finished with at least 233 Mohamed Salah 2 fantasy points in three consecutive seasons and remains the one of the league’s most threatening attackers, as he (-12.0) has led the Premier League in shots and shots on target in each of the past two seasons. He averaged 6.85 FPPM last year and only Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne had more double-digit hauls than the Egyptian midfielder. This year, he joins teammate Sadio Mané and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as FPL’s highest priced players at 12.0.

Mané has scored at least 10 goals in each of his six Premier League seasons and has topped the 200-point mark in back-to-back campaigns. Last year, he averaged 6.31 FPPM and proved to be FPL’s most consistent scorer, Sadio Mané finishing with 6 or more points in 21 of his 35 appearances. His consistent attacking returns keep him in 3 (Midfielder-12.0) contention for bonus points every match, as the Senegalese midfielder has totaled 51 bonus points over the past two seasons. However, many fantasy managers may have a hard time justifying Mané over Salah with each being 12.0, especially with Mo on penalties and his occassional involvement on corners.

Robertson may get slightly overshadowed by teammate Alexander-Arnold, but his attacking prowess cannot be overlooked. The Scottish defender has registered 12 fantasy assists in each of the past two seasons and has totaled 49 bonus points during that time. Last year, he finished with 6 or more fantasy points in 18 of his 36 Andrew Robertson 4 appearances and averaged 4.76 FPPM, which ranked second in the Premier League among defenders with at (Defender-7.0) least 20 appearances (TAA-5.53). Alexander-Arnold’s fantasy appeal is linked to his utilization on free kicks and corners, but Robertson’s open-play creativity makes him a lethal fantasy option at a lower price point than Alexander-Arnold.

It goes without saying that the Dutch center-back isn’t as explosive as teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson when it comes to fantasy production, but van Dijk offers reliability and consistency, as he played in all of Liverpool’s 38 Premier League matches last year. He finished with at least 6 fantasy points in 19 Virgil van Dijk 5 of those 38 matches and averaged 4.68 FPPM. A towering presence on set pieces, van Dijk has found the back of (Defender-6.5) the net at least four times in each of the past two seasons and has totaled six fantasy assists during that period. At first glance, his 2020/21 starting price might scare some fantasy managers away, but of all players listed at 6.5, none of them came within 40 points of van Dijk’s FPL total of 178.

Alisson was one of seven Liverpool players to average more than 4.0 FPPM last season (4.21), but he missed Alisson nine games and only totaled 122 points. In the past two seasons, the Brazilian goalkeeper has kept 34 clean 6 (Goalkeeper-6.0) sheets in 67 appearances (51%). If you want a quality set-and-forget keeper for an entire season, Alisson should be on your short list, but his selection comes at the expense of a potential 200-point Liverpool asset.

With so many appealing and productive fantasy assets on the Liverpool roster, more times than not, Firmino is the forgotten man. Still, he has finished with at least 155 fantasy points, nine goals, and eight assists in each of Roberto Firmino the past five seasons. He fired 99 shots last year, which was the 4th-highest total in the league, and put 39 of 7 (Forward-9.5) those on target. He averaged 4.08 FPPM, but his numbers could have been even better had he not blown 20 big chances. Only Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus and Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham missed more big chances than Firmino in 2019/20. Manchester City

FPL’s leading scorer was in a class by himself in 2019/20, as he averaged 7.17 FPPM. De Bruyne was the only player to ten double-digit games last year, and he finished the season scoring 14 or more points in seven Kevin De Bruyne of City’s last 22 matches. Undoubtedly the Sky Blues’ talisman, the Belgian midfielder led the Premier League 1 (Midfielder-11.5) in assists, key passes, and created the most big chances. His involvement on free kicks, corners, and now penalties, makes De Bruyne a desirable player to own heading into the new campaign, but will fantasy managers hop onboard at a higher price point this year.

Going into the restart, it seemed unlikely that Sterling would top the 200-point mark for a third consecutive season, but he tallied five double-digit hauls in City’s last ten matches and finished with 204 points, averaging 6.18 FPPM throughout the 2019/20 campaign. He scored 20 goals for the first time in his Premier League Raheem Sterling 2 career, but after three consecutive seasons with at least 14 fantasy assists, his total of six was somewhat of a (Midfielder-11.5) disappointment. Sterling is on a short list of players many fantasy managers fear not owning when he is in top form. Despite finishing with 204 points, he missed 19 big chances last year, so if he improves on that number, his non-owners may not be so lucky in 2020/21.

Agüero remains the club’s top striker, but at age 32, his legs may be getting a little heavy and his body has shown signs of wear. In 2019/20, he averaged 5.5 FPPM, but for the second time in three seasons, he failed to Sergio Agüero 3 make more than 25 Premier League appearances. If there is one statistic that highlights Agüero’s importance to (Forward-10.5) the club, it is the 24 missed big chances by teammate Gabriel Jesus last year. When healthy and in form, Agüero is worth every bit of his 10.5 price, but recent history suggests he may not be a long-tern option.

When Manchester City are at full health, rotation is always an issue, especially with attacking players. In 2019/20, Mahrez made the most of his appearances, totaling six or more fantasy points 15 times, and he finished the campaign with six double-digit hauls. However, he was not immune to rotation, especially during Riyad Mahrez the run-in, when he played fewer than 60 minutes in five of the club’s last seven matches. When the Algerian 4 (Midfielder-8.5) gets a full go of it, he’s likely to reward his fantasy managers, as he had an attacking return in eleven of the thirteen matches in which he played 90 minutes last year. How often will he get that chance in 2020/21, though? The emergence of and the signing of Ferran Torres makes Mahrez a risky selection to start the year.

Given the unpredictable rotation of Manchester City attackers, Ederson gives fantasy managers a set-and-forget Ederson option in goal. The reliability Ederson provides makes him a safer selection should you want to invest in the 5 (Goalkeeper-6.0) City defense. In 2019/20, Ederson made 35 appearances and was the Premier League Golden Glove winner. No other Man City defender had more than 29 appearances last year.

Manchester City did not waste any time upgrading their defense with the addition of Bournemouth’s Nathan Aké, who should help shore up the side's backline. The Dutch center-back has found the back of the net at least Nathan Aké two times in each of the past four seasons, and its a pretty safe bet that he will get more opportunities to finish 6 (Defender-5.5) around goal in the 2020/21 campaign playing for his new club. If nailed on, Aké should provide consistent starts, which will make him an appealing option at 5.5, which is .5 cheaper than . If City sign Napoli center-back Kalidou Koulibaly, Aké’s slips down the list.

Foden was a popular selection after the restart due to his increased minutes and affordable price. He played at Phil Foden least 60 minutes in six of City’s last eleven matches and totaled six attacking returns during that span. The 7 (Midfielder-6.5) departure of David Silva should provide an opportunity for increased playing time in 2020/21, and priced at 6.5, Foden is the best budget option in the Man City attack.

Jesus provided consistent returns at the end of last season, scoring a goal in four of the club’s last five matches. Sergio Agüero’s absence, due to injury, provided an extended look at the Brazilian up front. He may have Gabriel Jesus provided appreciable returns for fantasy managers, but his inability to finish at times provided many 8 (Forward-9.5) frustrations. No player missed more big chances in the league last year than Jesus (24), bringing his total to 42 over the last two campaigns. Jesus is an easy investment when Agüero isn’t available, but 9.5 is a sharp price when rotation is all but certain.

All of the problems Manchester City had last year revolved around the defense, which is why they are being so Aymeric Laporte aggressive in the transfer market. Nathan Aké has already been signed and the club is rumored to be in 9 (Defender-6.0) negotiations for Napoli’s Koulibaly. Whatever changes are made to the roster, Laporte should be nailed on at center-back when the new campaign begins. Manchester United

The signing of Fernandes saved Manchester United’s season, as the Red Devils raced to a third place finish and did not suffer a defeat in any of their last 14 matches. In those 14 games with the Bruno Fernandes club, Fernandes averaged 8.79 FPPM and finished with 10 or more points six times. He only failed 1 (Midfielder-10.5) to register an attacking return in three of those games and was a bit unlucky to hit the woodwork three times. Fernandes’ involvement makes him an attractive fantasy option, but he will not be as easy to fit into your side this season with a price increase to 10.5.

Martial averaged 6.25 FPPM last year, which was fifth-best in FPL, and his contributions were consistent, as he scored at least six points 17 times in his 32 appearances. 15 of Martial’s 26 attacking returns came in the final 13 games of the 2019/20 campaign, which proves how essential Anthony Martial 2 a creative (Fernandes) is for a quality striker. The 24-year old Frenchman finished on (Forward-9.0) 200 fantasy points listed as a midfielder, so fantasy managers benefited by +31 points for his out- of-position designation. Not only did Martial get a price increase headed into the new season, but he was accurately reclassified a forward.

Rashford’s 177 fantasy points in 2019/20 was a career best, topping last year’s total by 49 points. His 31 appearances were the fewest he has had in the past four seasons, but he played 2,655 Marcus Rashford 3 minutes, which was another career high. The 22-year old English winger averaged 5.71 FPPM last (Midfielder-9.5) year and scored six or more points 15 times, which included five double-digit hauls. Had Rashford been classified a midfielder last year, he would have finished on 200-plus points.

Greenwood only started twelve of United’s 38 league matches last year, but he featured in the starting XI in each of the club’s last eight fixtures. For the season, he averaged 3.32 FPPM, but over Mason Greenwood the last eight he averaged 6.13 FPPM. It remains to be seen if Greenwood’s run-in form carries 4 (Midfielder-7.5) over into the 2020/21 campaign, but the 18-year old is already proving to be a sharp finisher, scoring 10 goals on 39 shots. He is no longer the 4.5 budget darling of last year, but his 7.5 price gives fantasy managers a cheaper way into the United attack.

Wan-Bissaka was brought in from Crystal Palace to tighten up United’s back line and he did not disappoint. His 129 tackles led the Premier League in 2019/20, and his 258 tackles over the past Aaron Wan-Bissaka 5 two seasons ranks him second to Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi. Last year, Wan-Bissaka appeared in (Forward-5.5) 35 games, accumulating four attacking returns, 16 bonus points, and 12 clean sheets. However the 22-year old right-back is no stranger to a card, as he was booked eight times.

Maguire provided the Red Devils with stability and security on the back line, starting and finishing all 38 league matches. He only contributed one attacking return, but totaled 13 clean sheets and Harry Maguire 6 finished among the top 12 in interceptions (6th), aerials won (7th), and clearances (12th). Oddly, (Defender-5.5) Maguire’s cumulative BPS total was 681, which led the club, but he only earned 5 bonus points throughout the entire campaign, which was eighth-best among United players.

Despite being the subject of criticism for his performance between the sticks at times throughout the most recent campaign, de Gea finished the 2019/20 FPL season with his second-highest point David de Gea 7 total in nine seasons with the club, and his 143 fantasy points were third-best on the team. While (Goalkeeper-5.5) many of the club’s supporters were in favor of making a change to Dean Henderson, it seems de Gea will get another campaign at Old .

Pogba only appeared in 16 games last season, but was fit for the restart and played in each of those Paul Pogba final nine fixtures. Paired with Bruno Fernandes, he averaged 3.78 FPPM, compared to 2.43 FPPM 8 (Midfielder-8.0) in games before Fernandes’ arrival. In the two campaigns prior to 2019/20, Pogba totaled 42 attacking returns, but his role in the side has shifted with the arrival of his Portuguese teammate. Chelsea

Werner will join Chelsea for the 2020/21 campaign after spending the past seven seasons in the , the last four with RP Leipzig. The 24-year old German scored 28 goals in the Bundesliga last year and averaged Timo Werner 1 19.5 goals and 8.0 assists over the past four domestic campaigns. Going into the 2019/20 season, predicting (Forward-9.5) Chelsea’s top striker was somewhat of a guessing game, but with the signing of Werner, there is no need for guessing this year, which makes his 9.5 price very appealing.

Last year, Pulisic only appeared in 25 Premier League games, but he totaled 125 FPL points, which was fifth- Christian Pulisic best on the team. He scored six or more points ten times and averaged 5.08 FPPM throughout the 2019/20 2 (Midfielder-8.5) campaign, 6.33 FPPM after the restart. However, the American suffered a hamstring injury at the end of last season, and because of the short break, could be a doubt for the start of the new campaign.

Ziyech signed with Chelsea in the summer after spending the past eight seasons in the , the last four with Ajax, where he averaged 9.5 goals and 14.8 assists per season. The 27-year old Moroccan hasn't had Hakim Ziyech 3 fewer than ten assists in any of his previous seven domestic campaigns. Ziyech should slide into a rebuilt (Midfielder-8.0) starting XI as the Blues’ right winger. If fantasy managers want a piece of the Chelsea attack without spending 9.5 on Werner, taking a shot on Ziyech at 8.0 might be worth the risk, at least until Pulisic is declared fully fit.

Chelsea’s are in need of defensive improvements, so a fantasy investment at defender must come with César Azpilicueta consistency and attacking potential, which is exactly what Azpilicueta offers. Last year, the 30-year old right- 2 (Defender-6.0) back appeared in 36 games and played the full 90 minutes in all but one. He also totaled eight attacking returns (2 goals, 8 assists), which compensated for the lack of clean sheets (8).

Abraham started the 2019/20 campaign as the Blues’ No. 1 striker, but a dip in form over the course of the season allowed to secure that spot in the starting XI after the restart. In its totality, Abraham still Tammy Abraham 3 had an impressive season, scoring 15 goals, totaling 21 attacking returns, and averaging 4.50 FPPM. He was (Forward-7.5) Chelsea’s second-highest FPL point scorer (153), and his numbers would have looked better had he converted on a handful of his 22 missed big chances.

There is no guarantee that Kepa will be around by the start of the next campaign, but he is probably safe until Kepa Arrizabalaga 5 Chelsea make a new signing. Unfortunately for the 25-year old keeper, the club has put more emphasis in (Goalkeper-5.0) rebuilding their attack than solidifying the defense.

As the Premier League Golden Boot winner, Vardy tops the list of Leicester City fantasy players heading into the 2020/21 campaign. Last year, he scored 23 goals and totaled 34 attacking returns, had eight double-digit Jamie Vardy hauls, and averaged 6.36 FPPM, best among FPL Forwards. At age 33, Vardy showed no signs of slowing down, 1 (Forward-10.0) as he appeared in 35 games and played over 3,000 minutes last year. He has now scored at least 18 goals in each of the last three seasons and has at least 20 attacking returns in five consecutive campaigns. If he makes another run at 200 points, his 10.0 price will end up being a bargain.

Maddison missed the last seven games of the 2019/20 season, but he had averaged 4.03 FPPM and totaled James Maddison eleven attacking returns (6 goals, 5 assists) up until that point. Although he only appeared in 31 of 38 2 (Midfielder-7.0) matches, Maddison had the 3rd-most shots from set pieces (14), made the 5th-most key passes (79), and delivered the 6th-most crosses.

An injury prior to lockdown forced Pereira out for the remainder of the season, but a late start to the 2020/21 Ricardo Pereira campaign has helped his recovery time. Last year, he played 90 minutes in all of his 28 appearances and had 3 (Defender-6.0) five attacking returns (3 goals, 2 assists), averaging 4.39 FPPM. If Pereira returns fully fit, he should be worth his 6.0 price, but when players are returning from a major injury, it’s wise to take a wait-and-see approach.

No one assisted more Jamie Vardy goals in 2019/20 than Harvey Barnes, who linked up with the Golden Boot Harvey Barnes winner five times. Barnes only averaged 57.64 minutes per appearance, but he scored six or more points eight 4 (Midfielder-7.0) times and had the team’s 3rd-highest FPL point total. Last year’s production led to a 1.0 increase in price, so fantasy managers may find it a bit more difficult fitting him into their draft teams.

Last season, Chilwell only appeared in 27 games, but he contributed six attacking returns (3 goals, 3 assists), averaged 4.22 FPPM, and played 90 minutes 25 times. The 23-year old left-back has been the topic of transfer 5 rumors for quite some time, so it will not be a surprise if he’s at another club when the new campaign begins. (Defender-5.5) However, a heel injury suffered in July makes Chilwell a doubt to start the upcoming season, which means many fantasy managers will likely pass on the 5.5 defender when drafting their GW1 squad.

Söyünchü’s solidified Leicester City’s central defense last year, as the Turkish defender finished among the Çaglar Söyünchü league leaders in clearances (13th). His contributed twelve clean sheets, while providing two attacking returns 6 (Defender-5.5) (1 goal, 1 assist) and earning 12 bonus points throughout the 2019/20 campaign. His ownership isn’t likely to be as high in 2020/21 with a price increase to 5.5.

Injuries played a role in Leicester City falling out of the Top 4, but Evans was a mainstay, appearing in every Jonny Evans game and averaging 3.37 FPPM. However, The Foxes won’t be able to count on him at the start of the 7 (Defender-5.5) upcoming campaign, as Evans will miss the first three games of the season after receiving a red card for a reckless tackle in the season finale against Manchester United.

Schmeichel’s 156 FPL points in 2019/20 were a career high, as the Dane finished with the second-highest total Kasper Schmeichel among Leicester City players. His 96 saves ranked 10th in the Premier League and he was one of only six 8 (Goalkeeper-5.5) goalkeepers to average more than 4.0 FPPM (4.11). Scheichel's 5.5 starting price represents his highest starting value in ten Premier League seasons.

Pérez played in 33 games last year, but he only averaged 60.5 minutes per appearance, 2,000 minutes in total. Eight times Pérez played fewer than 60 minutes and he only made it past the 80-minute mark five times. Still, Ayoze Pérez 9 the 27-year old Spaniard earned 129 fantasy points, which was 4th-best on the Leicester roster. Pérez has been (Midfielder-6.5) listed at 6.5 for a third consecutive season, but he hasn’t finished either of the past two seasons higher than 6.1, dropping a total of .9 over the past two years. Son finished the 2019/20 campaign as Tottenham’s top FPL scorer with 169 points, scoring at least six points in Son Heung-Min 13 of 30 appearances and averaging 5.63 FPPM. He has scored at least 11 goals and generated a minimum of 8 1 (Midfielder-9.0) assists in four consecutive campaigns, while earning at least 16 bonus points in each of the last three seasons. What adds to Son’s FPL appeal is that his price of 9.0 comes is .5 less than last year’s starting price.

Had Kane not missed eight games from January through March, he would have been in contention for the Golden Boot. Only once the entire 2019/20 season did he play three consecutive games without finding the Harry Kane back of the net. Last year, Kane scored six or more points in 13 of 29 matches played and averaged 5.45 FPPM, 2 (Forward-10.5) while playing the full 90 minutes 27 times. After four consecutive seasons of scoring 20-plus goals, he has fallen short of that number in each of the past two seasons, but has still scored at least 17 goals and earned at least 24 bonus points in each of those two campaigns. His starting price of 10.5 is his lowest in five seasons.

Clean sheets were an issue for Tottenham last year, particularly before the restart, but Aurier played an Serge Aurier advanced role at times in attack and finished with a goal and seven assists. On the season, the right-back made 3 (Defender-5.5) 33 appearances and averaged 3.76 FPPM. He also led the club with nine clean sheets and accumulated a team- high 623 BPS. Listed at 5.5, Aurier offers the best fantasy value in the Tottenham defense.

Alli only made 25 appearances last year, but still finished on 117 FPL points, 4th-highest on the team. He scored at least seven points nine times and averaged 4.68 FPPM. After three full seasons with least 22 4 (Midfielder-8.0) attacking returns, Alli has struggled through the last two campaigns, playing slightly more than 1,800 minutes in each and missing out on a total of 26 matches. His 8.0 listing price is the lowest in five years.

Aside from Dele Alli and Son Heung-Min, midfield was a revolving door at Tottenham last year, and Moura was not immuned to the rotation. He made 35 appearances in 2019/20, ten as a sub, and only played 60 minutes 5 (Midfielder-7.0) 24 times. The Brazilian accumulated 100 FPL points and totaled nine attacking returns, but he only scored four goals, down from ten in 2018/19, which probably led to his .5 price drop compared to last year.

Alderweireld only appeared in 25 games last season because of injury, so he finished the 2019/20 campaign Toby Alderweireld 6 with only 97 FPL points. Fortunately, two goals and two assists helped his total, because the Tottenham defense (Defender-5.5) were poor, allowing 47 goals, the most since 2014/15.

Lloris only appeared in 21 games last season and finished the 2019/20 campaign with 98 FPL points. Had the 33-year old Frenchman not missed a match, he would have finished as the club’s third-highest scorer based on Hugo Lloris 7 appearance points alone. However, for Lloris to be heavily considered by fantasy managers in 2020/21, the (Goalkeeper-5.5) club must tighten up its backline, as Tottenham only kept nine clean sheets last year, which was the third-lowest total by a non-relegated side.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg Højbjerg certainly won’t lead the attack, but priced at 5.0, his steady covering presence in the midfield could 8 (Midfielder-5.0) have fantasy managers looking to use him as cover in their fifth midfield spot. Wolverhampton Wanderers

In each of the previous two seasons, Jiménez has scored at least 13 goals, totaled at least 23 attacking returns, and earned at least 30 bonus points. Last year, he scored at least seven points 15 times, earned three double- Raúl Jiménez digit hauls, and averaged 5.11 FPPM. He played at least 60 minutes in all but one of his 38 appearances, 1 (Forward-) played past the 80-minute mark 32 times, and played the full 90 minutes 26 times. Jiménez's production over the past two seasons justifies the 1.0 price increase, but 8.5 still seems like great value for a player that has finished with at least 180 FPL points in back-to-back campaigns.

Throughout the past two seasons, Doherty has been one of the top scoring defenders in FPL. He has scored at least four goals, been credited with at least seven assists, and earned at least 12 bonus points in back-to-back Matt Doherty 2 campaigns. Last year, he averaged 4.64 FPPM and scored six or more fantasy points 15 times, including six (Defender-6.0) double-digit hauls. Last year, Doherty finished the year with a value of 6.5, so his listing price of 6.0 seems like value, especially if you don’t have the funds to double up on Liverpool defenders.

Traoré gave many fantasy managers a productive budget option in midfield last year. He scored 130 FPL points, Adama Traoré totaled 13 attacking returns (4 goals, 9 assists), and averaged 3.51 FPPM. Not bad for a midfielder listed at 3 (Midfielder-6.5) £5.0 at the start of the 2019/20 season. This year, fantasy managers will find it a bit more challenging to fit Traoré into their squads now that he is listed in the ever-popular 6.5 price bracket.

Last year, Wolverhampton played a stretch of 15 consecutive games without Boly, who suffered a fractured ankle in October. In the 22 games in which he played, Boly averaged 4.41 FPPM, had 12 clean sheets, and played the full 90 minutes in every match. The 29-year old French defender may not contribute the attacking 4 (Defender-5.5) returns like teammates Matt Doherty and Jonny, but he is usually in contention for bonus points. Unfortunately, a .5 price increase to start the year could have many mangers looking at other options in the Wolves defense.

Patrício finished the 2019/20 season as Wolves’ third-highest FPL point scorer, totaling 153 points, which was a Rui Patrício 5 35 point rise compared to 2018/19. He started and finished all 38 games, kept 13 clean sheets, and scored six (Goalkeeper-5.5) or more points 15 times. He won’t be as popular a selection in 2020/21 with a .5 price increase.

An injury to Jonny in Wolves’ Europa League quarterfinal will keep him out for months, and unless a new right- Rúben Vinagre 6 back is signed, Vinagre should slot right into the starting XI at left wing-back. Listed at 4.5, the 21-year old (Defender-4.5) Portuguese defender will be a popular 4.5 budget selection to start the year.

Jota’s play throughout the 2019/20 campaign was very inconsistent, as his FPL numbers show. He only totaled ten attacking returns, down from 17 two seasons ago, and went without an attacking return in 28 of his 34 Diogo Jota 7 appearances. Perhaps Wolves’ participation in the Europa League had an affect on Jota, something the side (Midfielder-6.5) won’t have to worry about in 2020/21. Listed at 6.5, many fantasy mangers are likely to opt for the more dangerous Adama Traoré with both being level on price.

Podence is a wildcard this season. He was a winter signing from Olympiakos of the Greek Super league that Daniel Podence was given a first-team opportunity during the run-in. In those three starts, he registered two attacking returns 8 (Midfielder-5.5) and totaled 19 FPL points. Priced at 5.5, Podence is a player that should be on every fantasy manager’s watchlist to start the year. Arsenal

Aubameyang’s 205 FPL points throughout the 2019/20 season was the sixth-highest total in the game. He finished with 27 attacking returns (22 goals, 5 assists) and averaged 5.69 FPPM. In 36 appearances last year, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had six double-digit hauls and scored at least six points 15 times. In addition to being the 1 Aubameyang league’s second-best goal scorer, he ranked 9th in shots taken (93) and 6th in shots on target (42). (Midfielder-12.0) Aubameyang has now scored 22 goals and scored 205 FPL points in back-to-back campaigns. Reclassified as a midfielder, he joins Liverpool’s Mo Salah and Sadio Mané as the games highest priced players at 12.0.

The 2019/20 campaign was Willian’s most productive in seven Premier League seasons, averaging 4.67 FPPM in 36 appearances. He was Chelsea’s top FPL point scorer, and most consistent, totaling six or more points Willian 2 twelve times and generating seven double-digit hauls. However, Willian's time at Stamford Bridge came to an (Midfielder-8.0) end after the 32-year old Brazilian signed with Arsenal. This year, he offers fantasy managers an opportunity to get a piece of the Gunners’ attack for 4.0 less than Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (12.0).

Tierney’s first season at Arsenal was injury-ridden, as the 23-year old left-back only made 15 appearances and averaged 2.80 FPPM. He totaled three attacking returns (1 goal, 2 assists) in 986 minutes and had two clean 3 (Defender-5.5) sheets, but most importantly, Tierney played well during the run-in, which means he will get a lot of attention when fantasy managers start building their GW1 squads.

In 2019/20, Pépé appeared in 31 games and totaled 106 FPL points, third-most among outfield players on the Nicolas Pépé roster. He scored at least six points in six different games and averaged 3.42 FPPM, but consistency was an 4 (Midfielder-8.0) issue, as Pépé went without an attacking return in seven straight matches during two separate runs of fixtures last year. A price drop to 8.0, down 1.5 from last year, could see an increase in ownership this season.

Lacazette finished the 2019/20 season with 118 FPL points, a significant drop from the 166 points he scored throughout the 2018/19 campaign. He made 30 appearances last year and averaged 3.93 FPPM, scoring at 5 least six points eight times. The 29-year old Frenchman has registered at least 17 attacking returns in three (Forward-8.5) consecutive FPL seasons, but last year’s dip in performance led to a 1.0 price drop. He has also been linked to many transfer rumors, so there is a chance Lacazette won’t be around for the 2020/21 campaign.

If you are looking for a consistent presence in The Gunners back line, Luiz is your guy, but his undisciplined David Luiz 6 play at times can kill a game week. In 33 appearances last year, he produced three attacking returns (2 goals, (Defender-5.5) assist), but also received two red cards. His 5.5 starting price is a drop from last year’s 6.0 tag.

Leno was injured in the first week of the restart and missed the club’s last eight matches. In 30 appearances, the 28-year old German keeper kept seven clean sheets, accumulated 114 FPL points, and averaged 3.80 FPPM. Bernd Leno 7 Leno finished 7th in the Premier League in saves with 113, but his 3.76 saves-per-match average was better (Goalkeeper-5.0) than the six keepers that finished above him. Teammate Emiliano Martínez is not completely out of the picture, though.

Saliba is seen as an important piece to Arsenal’s rebuild, but it remains to be seen if he will be thrown into the 8 starting XI come GW1. Listed at 4.5, Saliba is a player that might be worth an early investment, because if he (Defender-4.5) becomes nailed on, his ownership will rise quickly.

Saka made 26 appearances last year and had seven attacking returns (goal, 6 assists). He should have a bright future with the club, but in order to become a legitimate fantasy asset in 2020/21, the 21-year old winger will 9 (Midfielder-5.5) need to play more than the 1,700 minutes he played last year. If he does, Saka’s 5.5 price could allow fantasy mangers to squeeze him in as a fourth or fifth midfielder. Sheffield United

Ranking Sheffield United’s Top Fantasy Assets

Ramsdale was signed in late August to replace Dean Henderson, who is looking to unseat David de Gea as Aaron Ramsdale Manchester United’s first-team keeper. Last year, Ramsdale made 129 saves for a relegated Bournemouth side, 1 (Goalkeeper-5.0) a stat that ranked third in the Premier League. Given Sheffield United’s style of play, Ramsdale could be one of the better 5.0 keeper options in the game.

Stevens totaled 142 FPL points last year as the club’s left-back. He played 90 minutes in 37 of 38 appearances, Enda Stevens 2 earned 13 clean sheets, and made the 14th-most tackles in the league. He totaled six attacking returns (2 (Defender-5.5) goals, 4 assists), scored at least six points 12 times, and averaged 3.74 FPPM.

Last season, Baldock posted six attacking returns (2 goals, 4 assists), scored six or more points in 13 of his 38 George Baldock 3 appearances, and averaged 3.74 FPPM. He was one of only seven outfielders to play every minute in all of his (Defender-5.5) club’s 38 matches, which makes him an appealing 5.5 option in a defensive-minded club.

Egan finished among the league leaders in several statistical categories last season. He finished the 2019/20 John Egan campaign ranked in the Top 15 in clearances (8th), aerials won (11th), blocked shots (15th), and interceptions 4 (Defender-5.0) (15th). He scored six or more points 15 times in 36 appearances, had 13 clean sheets, totaled 133 FPL points, and averaged 3.69 FPPM.

In 2019/20, Basham appeared in all 38 of The Blades’ games and totaled 123 FPL points, averaging 3.24 FPPM. Chris Basham 5 His 77 interceptions were 4th-best in the Premier League and his 85 tackles ranked him 11th in that category. (Defender-5.0) The 32-year old center-back had 13 clean sheets and scored six or more points eleven times.

As part of The Blades’ back three, O’Connell finished the 2019/20 season with 111 FPL points. He played 90 Jack O’Connell 6 minutes in 32 of 33 appearances, had 12 clean sheets, and scored six or more points eleven times. His 135 (Defender-5.0) aerials won were 11th-best in the league and his 144 clearances ranked 18th.

In 2019/20, Fleck totaled 101 FPL points and averaged 3.37 FPPM. He played 90 minutes in 26 of 30 John Fleck 7 appearances, had seven attacking returns (5 goals, 2 assists), and eight clean sheets. Last year, the Scottish (Midfielder-6.0) midfielder took 80 corners, which was the 13th-most in the Premier League, and his 149 crosses ranked 15th.

Lundstrum was a £4.0 out-of-position darling last year who totaled 144 FPL points, He finished with six or John Lundstrum more points ten times, was credited with ten clean sheets, and averaged 4.24 FPPM. His OOP designation 8 (Midfielder-5.5) contributed to an extra 35 points last season, but listed as a 5.5 midfielder in 2020/21, Lundstrum has lost his fantasy appeal. Burnley

Pope was the highest scoring goalkeeper in FPL last season with 170 points. He had four double-digit Nick Pope performances and scored six or more points 16 times. He ranked 2nd in the league with 15 clean sheets and 1 (Goalkeeper-5.5) 4th in saves with 120. His price increase in 2020/21 isn’t surprising, but the 1.0 jump may have managers looking elsewhere for the next 4.5 GK gem.

Tarkowski was the sixth-highest scoring defender in FPL last season, as he totaled 143 points and scored six or more points in 14 of 38 appearances. Not only did he contribute five attacking returns (2 goals, 3 assists), but James Tarkowski 2 he led the league in clearances (200), finished 2nd in blocks (47), 3rd in aerials won (198), and 12th in (Defender-5.5) interceptions (63), all of which played a part in him finishing with the sixth-highest BPS score (690) among defenders.

In 2019/20, Wood made 32 appearances and totaled 136 FPL points for an average of 4.25 FPPM. He finished Chris Wood with six or more points 12 times and had two double-digit games. The 28-year old New Zealander has now 3 (Forward-6.5) scored at least ten goals in three consecutive Premier League campaigns. He has been consistently priced at 6.5 for four consecutive seasons.

Last season, Mee played 90 minutes in all 32 games in which he appeared, totaling 110 FPL points and Ben Mee 4 averaging 3.44 FPPM. He contributed three attacking returns (goal, 2 assists) and had 13 clean sheets. He (Defender-5.0) finished 6th in the Premier League with 32 blocks and his 160 clearances were 11th-best.

Barnes had a bright start to the 2019/20 season, scoring four goals in the club’s first three fixtures, but an abdominal injury suffered halfway through the campaign shut him down. He did score six goals in 19 5 (Forward-6.0) appearances, but after Jay Rodriguez’s performance throughout the second half of the season, Barnes will have to earn his spot back into the Clarets’ best XI.

Last season, McNeil appeared in every match and played at least 80 minutes 35 times. He finished with nine Dwight McNeil 6 attacking returns (2 goals, 7 assists) and his 123 FPL points were the sixth-highest total among players that (Midfielder-6.0) finished the year priced 6.0 or less.

Pieters versatility was the reason for his FPL success throughout the second half of the 2019/20 campaign. Due to injuries and a lack of quality depth, the Dutchman provided help in the midfield and played an advanced role 7 (Defender-4.5) as an out-of-position defender. If he continues in that role to begin the new campaign, he could be attractive to fantasy managers as they build their GW1 squads.

Last year, Bardsley played the full 90 minutes in each of his 21 appearances, totaled two attacking returns (2 8 assists), and averaged 3.71 FPPM. If he remains nailed on at right back, he gives fantasy managers a cheaper (Defender-4.5) way into Burnley’s defense.

In 2020/21, Taylor appeared in 24 matches and averaged 3.50 FPPM. He only had one attacking return Charlie Taylor 9 (assist), but was credited with six clean sheets. Priced at 4.5, Taylor makes it much more affordable to invest in (Defender-4.5) the Burnley defense, as long as he’s healthy and nailed on.

Last year, Westwood played 90 minutes in each of the 35 matches in which he appeared. He totaled nine Ashley Westwood 10 attacking returns (2 goals, 7 assists) and his FPL point total of 118 was the highest among players that finished (Midfielder-5.5) the year priced £5.5 or less.

Rodriguez finished the 2019/20 campaign with ten attacking returns (8 goals, 2 assists) and totaled 100 FPL Jay Rodriguez points. However, his performance in Ashley Barnes’ absence proved he deserves a shot to stick in the first team 11 (Forward-6.0) when the new campaign begins. In those 15 appearances, he contributed seven attacking returns (5 goals, 2 assists) and averaged 4.00 FPPM. Southampton

2019/20 was Ings’ most productive season in five Premier League campaigns. He appeared in all 38 matches and generated 24 attacking returns (22 goals, 2 assists), while accumulating 198 FPL points and averaging 5.21 FPPM. Incredibly, Ings scored six or more points 18 times and had three double-digit hauls, which led to a £1.6 Danny Ings 1 price increase over the course of the season, the highest of any player last year. He finished the season 9th in (Forward-8.5) shots taken (93), 10th in shots on target (38), and was a bit unlucky, hitting the woodwork six times. His 40 FPL bonus points were the most in the game last year. Even though Ings comes into the 2020/21 campaign priced at 8.5, if his production remains consistent, he’ll be worth the price.

McCarthy started 28 matches last season, but did not play a minute until GW11. In 28 appearances, he finished Alex McCarthy 15th in saves (79) and totaled 104 FPL points, scoring six or more points eight times and averaging 3.71 FPPM. 2 (Goalkeeper-4.5) Priced at 4.5, McCarthy will likely be an option for fantasy managers that like to rotate keepers in that price bracket.

Adams appeared in 30 matches last year and generated eight attacking returns (4 goals, 4 assists). He started Che Adams 12 matches and featured off the bench as a sub 18 times. However, if Adams’ season-ending form spills into the 3 (Forward-6.0) new campaign, he may earn more minutes with the first team. Over the last seven matches of the 2019/20 season, Adams averaged 5.4 FPPM.

When it comes to budget options in midfield, Ward-Prowse should be on your list. He finished the 2019/20 campaign with nine attacking returns (5 goals, 4 assists) and totaled 117 FPL points. Last year, he led the James Ward-Prowse 4 Premier League in corners taken (183) and shots from set pieces (24), while his 267 crosses ranked 4th and 62 (Midfielder-6.0) key passes ranked 9th. The 25-year old Englishman was one of only seven outfielders to play every minute in all 38 matches last year.

In 2019/20, Armstrong made 30 appearances, but he only played more than 60 minutes 18 times. He still 5 finished with nine attacking returns (5 goals, 4 assists) and averaged 3.27 FPPM, third-highest on the team. If (Midfielder-5.5) he earns more minutes, Armstrong could be a 5.5 bargain in 2020/21.

Minutes and appearances were hard to come by for Walker-Peters in his time at Tottenham, but the 23-year old Kyle Walker-Peters impressed in his short time on loan at Southampton and secured a permanent move over the summer. Nailed 6 (Defender-4.5) on as the club’s right-back, Walker-Peters is an attractive option at a popular price point, especially if the Saints can tighten their defense.

Last season, Redmond played at least 80 minutes in 29 of the 32 matches in which he made an appearance. He James Redmond 7 totaled eight attacking returns (4 goals, 4 assists) and totaled 107 FPL points, averaging 3.34 FPPM. Priced at (Midfielder-6.5 6.5, Redmond’s appeal is shattered by teammate Ward-Prowse being .5 cheaper. Everton

In 2019/20, Richarlison appeared in 36 games and totaled 165 FPL points, averaging 4.58 FPPM. He finished the year with 18 attacking returns (13 goals, 5 assists) and scored six or more points 14 times, four of which were double-digit hauls. The 23-year old Brazilian created the fifth-most Richarlison 1 big chances last year (13) and finished 11th in the league in shots taken (90). He has scored at (Midfielder-8.0) least 13 goals in back-to-back campaigns and is once again listed at 8.0. Richarlison’s reclassification will certainly impact his ownership, but a run of form will have managers scrambling to get him into their team.

Last year, Digne appeared in 35 matches, was credited with eight assists, and totaled 120 FPL points. The 27-year old Frenchman is instrumental in the Toffees’ attack from his left-back Licas Digne 2 position. In 2019/20, Digne ranked 3rd in crosses (270), 4th in shots from set pieces (13), 8th in (Defender-6.0) key passes (72), and 9th in corners taken (108). In the past two seasons, he has totaled 17 attacking returns, which is why he is once again priced at 6.0.

Calvert-Lewin appeared in 36 matches last season and scored 13 goals, which helped contribute to his FPL point total of 126 points. He scored at least six points in ten of Everton’s first 28 games, Dominic Calvert-Lewin but failed to register an attacking return in the club’s final ten fixtures. Throughout the entire 3 (Forward-7.0) 2019/20 campaign, he missed 17 big chances, eighth-most in the league. Priced 1.0 less than Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin offers a cheaper way into Everton’s attack, but last year’s poor run-in form will likely keep his ownership low heading into GW1.

Pickford has played every minute of every match in each of his three seasons at the club. His FPL Jordan Pickford point total of 117 points in 2019/20 was 36 points below his average from the previous two 4 (Goalkeeper5.0)- campaigns. Last year, he only kept nine clean sheets, which led to a lowly 3.08 FPPM average, and as a result, his price dropped to 5.0.

Sigurdsson only had eight attacking returns in 2017/18, but rebounded with a strong 2018/19 campaign (13 goals, 6 assists). After a poor season last year (2 goals, 4 assists), the 31-year old Gylfi Sigurdsson Icelander will need another bounce-back campaign. Last year, he finished among the Top 20 in 5 (Midfielder-7.0) corners taken and key passes, but his playing time was reduced by nearly 600 minutes compared to the previous season. It has been six years since Sigurdsson has been priced 7.0 or less, but even at that value, fantasy managers won’t be eager to get him into their draft team. Newcastle

Dubravka was the highest scoring player on the Newcastle roster last year. The 31-year old Slovokian keeper Martin Dubravka 1 led the league in saves (140) and kept eleven clean sheets, which largely contributed to his FPL total of 143 (Goalkeeper-5.0) points. He played every minute in goal for the Magpies last year and averaged 3.76 FPPM.

In 2019/20, Saint-Maximim appeared in 26 matches, had eight attacking returns (3 goals, 5 assists), and Allan Saint-Maximim 2 totaled 92 FPL points, for an average of 3.54 FPPM. The 23-year old Frenchman only played 1,860 minutes last (Midfielder-5.5) year, so expect better production this year if he gets more time.

Miguel Almirón Last year, Almirón appeared in 36 games and played at least 60 minutes 35 times. He had six attacking returns 3 (Midfielder-6.0) (4 goals, 2 assists), was credited with 12 clean sheets, and totaled 109 FPL points for a 3.03 FPPM average.

Injuries cost Lascelles playing time last year, as the team captain only played in 24 matches and averaged 3.04 4 FPPM. If nailed on at center-back, Lascelles is available at 4.5, which is .5 less than teammate Frederico (Defender-4.5) Fernández.

Ritchie did not fulfill his FPL potential last season, as he spent more time off the pitch than on it. He appeared in 18 matches in 2019/20 and played only 1,300 minutes. He still contributed three attacking returns (2 goals, 5 assist), had eight clean sheets, and averaged 4.11 FPPM. Unfortunately, the window of opportunity may have (Midfielder-5.5) closed with Ritchie’s reclassification as a midfielder, as he isn’t even the most appealing 5.5 midfielder at his own club.

Fernández only played 23 minutes in the squad’s first nine games of the 2019/20 season, but starting in GW10, Federico Fernández he became nailed on as a starter. In 32 appearances last year, the Argentine center-back contributed five 6 (Defender-5.0) attacking returns (2 goals, 3 assists), had eight clean sheets, and totaled 102 FPL points. He also finished 4th in the league in clearances (185) and 12th in blocks (28).

Shelvey made 26 appearances last year and totaled 105 FPL points, averaging 4.04 FPPM. He finished the Jonjo Shelvey campaign with eight attacking returns (6 goals, 2 assists), which were the most since his 2014/15 season at 7 (Midfielder-5.5) Swansea City, and his 15 bonus points led all Newcastle players. Shelvey’s 2020/21 fantasy potential will certainly be influenced by the minutes he earns on the field, as last year he failed to feature in 12 games.

Before the 2019/20 campaign, it seemed as if Zaha was going to be a player on the move, but in the end, he Wilfried Zaha made 38 appearances in a Crystal Palace jersey. He played the full 90 minutes 36 times, had ten goal 1 (Midfielder-7.0) involvements (4 goals, 6 assists), and totaled 120 FPL points, for an average of 3.16 FPPM. Up until last year, Zaha had at least 16 attacking returns in three consecutive seasons.

Ayew appeared in 37 matches last year and led the club with nine goals. In total, he finished the season with Jordan Ayew 12 attacking returns and totaled 132 FPL points, averaging 3.57 FPPM. The 28-year old Ghana international 2 (Forward-6.0) accounted for 29% of the club’s goals in 2019/20 and led the Eagles with 19 bonus points, which led to a 1.0 price rise to start the new campaign.

Last year, van Aanholt appeared in 29 matches, had seven attacking returns (3 goals, 2 assists), eight clean sheets, and averaged 3.76 FPPM. He missed the last two matches of the 2019/20 season with a separated 3 (Defender-5.5) shoulder, an injury that required surgery. As a result, the Dutch left-back could miss the start of the next campaign.

Guaita finished the 2019/20 campaign as Crystal Palace’s highest scoring FPL player with 137 points. He kept Vicente Guaita 4 ten clean sheets and scored at least at least six points in eleven of his 35 appearances. Palace’s defense wasn’t (Goalkeeper-5.0) much help during the run-in, as they allowed two or more goals in five of their last six matches.

Milivojevic made 31 appearances last year and totaled 81 FPL points. He had four attacking returns (3 goals, Luka Milivojevic assist) and averaged 2.61 FPPM. The Serbian midfielder is on penalties, but he only had two last year, while 5 (Midfielder-6.0) racking up 12 yellow cards. Palace looked so poor offensively at the end of last season, that a 1.0 price drop isn’t likely to do much for Milivojevic’s ownership heading into the new campaign. Brighton and Hove Albion

Ryan appeared in all 38 matches last year, finished 5th in the league with 117 saves, kept nine clean sheets, and totaled 135 FPL points, averaging 3.55 FPPM. The 28-year old Australian keeper Mat Ryan 1 has topped the 100-point mark in three straight FPL seasons and has scored 135-plus in two of the (Goalkeeper-) last three campaigns. Ryan tops the list of highest scoring keepers returning in 2020/21 at a price of 4.5 or less.

Dunk has spent the past three seasons in the Premier League with Brighton and the 2019/20 Lewis Dunk campaign was his most productive, totaling 128 FPL points and averaging 3.56 FPPM. The 28-year 2 (Defender-5.0) old central defender had six attacking returns (3 goals, 3 assists) and nine clean sheets in 36 appearances. Dunk is set to remain at Brighton after signing a new five-year deal during the break.

Maupay finished the 2019/20 campaign with 13 attacking returns (10 goals, 3 assists) in 37 Neal Maupay appearances, totaling 131 FPL points and averaging 3.54 FPPM. He took 96 shots, which ranked 3 (Forward-6.5) 6th in the league, and he put 38 of those on target, which ranked 10th. His overall involvement in the Brighton attack led to a .5 price rise this season.

Trossard made 31 appearances last year, 22 as a starter and nine as a substitute. The 25-year old Belgian had ten attacking returns (5 goals, 5 assists) and averaged 3.35 FPPM. More will be 4 (Midfielder-6.0) expected of Trossard in his second season with the club, but priced at 6.0, he may be a player that many fantasy managers will track before putting him into their team.

The appeal to play under again wasn’t enough to steer Lallana to Leicester over 5 Brighton, where the 32-year old signed a three-year deal, and should find it much easier to earn (Forward-6.5) first team minutes.

Lamptey was a player Brighton signed during the January and he should be nailed 6 on to start at right-back. After the signing of Lewis Dunk in late-august, the Seagulls’ back line (Defender-4.5) should be solid, which makes Lamptey an attractive option at a price .5 less than Dunk.

Groß was one of the fantasy surprises of the 2017/18 season, when he scored seven goals and had eight assists, totaling 164 FPL points. His numbers have dipped significantly over the most recent Pascal Groß 7 two seasons, but he is still very much involved in the Brighton attack. Last year, Groß ranked 12th (Midfielder-6.0) in corners taken (81), 16th in crosses (146), and created ten big chances (14th). His starting price has dropped by .5 for the second consecutive season.

Burn appeared in 34 matches last year and was credited with nine cleans sheets. He did not Dan Burn 8 provide the attacking returns like teammate Lewis Dunk, but he does come into the 2020/21 (Defender-4.5) season .5 less.

After spending the 2019/20 season out on loan at Leeds, where he helped the club secure promotion into the Premier League, the club’s plans were for White to finish out his contract, and 9 (Defender-4.5) possibly renegotiate an extension. Now that teammate Lewis Dunk has signed a new deal, it would seem that a decision on White’s future with the club will be made soon. West Ham

For the season, Antonio made 24 appearances and totaled 111 FPL points, for an average of 4.63 FPPM. However, it would be a mistake not to focus on his performance over the last eleven matches of the 2019/20 Michail Antonio 1 campaign. During that stretch, Antonio scored seven or more FPL points six times, put the ball between the (Forward-6.5) sticks eight times, and averaged an incredible 6.91 FPPM. Antonio’s reclassification as a forward for the 2020/21 season came with a surprising .5 price reduction.

Bowen joined West Ham in January after making 29 appearances for Hull City in The Championship, where he scored 16 goals and had 7 assists. He appeared in the Hammers’ last 13 games of the 2019/20 season, starting 2 the final eleven. In those eleven matches, Bowen had five attacking returns (goal, 4 assists) and averaged 3.82 (Midfielder-6.5) FPPM. Most importantly, he seamlessly transitioned into the Premier League and likely to major a major contributor in 2020/21.

In only 13 appearances last year, Soucek scored three goals and totaled 41 FPL points. The Hammers were so Tomas Soucek impressed with his contributions that they signed the 25-year old midfielder to a four-year deal. Soucek is a 3 (Midfielder-5.0) high energy box-to-box player with attacking threat, and priced at 5.0, he may end up being a player fantasy managers squeeze in as a fourth midfielder to free up funds for another premium-priced player.

In 2019/20, Noble appeared in 33 matches and totaled 105 FPL points, averaging 3.18 FPPM. He played at lest Mark Noble 4 80 minutes 24 times and finished the year with eight attacking returns (4 goals, 4 assists). As the club’s (Midfielder-5.0) number one penalty taker, Noble converted all three of his attempts last year.

After two consecutive seasons of scoring at least 140 FPL points, an injury limited Fabianski to 25 appearances Lukasz Fabianski 5 in 2019/20 and he finished on 83 points, averaging 3.32 FPPM. Prior to last season, Fabianski had scored 100 (Goalkeeper-5.0) or more FPL points in five consecutive seasons.

Fornals made 36 appearances in 2019/20 and registered eight attacking returns (2 goals, 6 assists), averaging 6 2.58 FPPM. Going into his second season at West Ham, more is expected of Fornals, but priced at 6.5, there (Midfielder-6.5) seem to be better value options

Diangana spent the 2019/20 season out on loan to West Brom, where he impressed and helped the club secure promotion. The 22-year old winger made 30 appearances and had 14 goal involvements (8 goals, 6 assists). If 7 (Midfielder-5.5) West Ham move on from some players on the roster and Diangana feels he has a legitimate shot at earning first- team minutes, he’ll probably stay, but if not, he could seek another loan spell at West Brom.

Rice was one of only seven outfielders to play every minute in all 38 matches last season. He totaled 105 FPL Declan Rice points by generating six attacking returns (goal, 5 assists), keeping seven clean sheets, and earning eight bonus 8 (Midfielder-5.0) points. His 78 interceptions were third-best in the Premier League last year and he was credited with the fourth-most tackles (115).

Anderson could not duplicate his 2018/19 production, a year in when he scored 155 FPL points and had 15 9 attacking returns (9 goals, 6 assists). He only appeared in 25 matches last year, registered five attacking (Midfielder-6.5) returns (goal, 4 assists), and averaged 2.64 FPPM.

Last year, Haller had ten attacking returns (7 goals, 3 assists) and totaled 102 FPL points, for an average of 3.19 Sébastien Haller FPPM. He made 32 appearances, featuring eight times as a substitute. When Haller was selected for the 10 (Forward-6.5) starting XI, he usually went the distance, playing 90 minutes in 20 of his 24 starts. However, he fell out of favor for Michail Antonio at the end of last season, which was likely a factor in his 1.0 price drop this year. Aston Villa

In 2019/20, the Aston Villa talisman played 90 minutes in 35 of his 36 appearances. Grealish’s 149 FPL points were 51 more than the next closest Villa player, and the 24-year old midfielder scored six or more points 13 Jack Grealish times. He finished the year with 15 attacking returns (8 goals, 7 assists) and averaged 4.14 FPPM, while 1 (Midfielder-7.0) accumulating 19 bonus points. Grealish has been linked to other clubs since the season ended, and until we know where he is playing in 2020/21, it’s difficult to weigh the value of his 7.0 price tag, which is 1.0 more than last year.

As valuable Grealish was to the Lions’ attack last season, Mings was just as important in defense. The 27-year old defender led the league in blocks (48) and finished with the third-most clearances (189). He played 90 Tyrone Mings 2 minutes in 32 of his 33 starts, finished with four attacking returns (2 goals, 2 assists), seven clean sheets, and (Defender-5.0) totaled 90 FPL points. However, many fantasy managers will not want to bring in a 5.0 defender from a team that will likely be battling relegation for a second consecutive season.

An injury limited McGinn to just 28 appearances last year, but he still managed six attacking returns (3 goals, 3 assists) and totaled 84 FPL points for an FPPM average of 3.00. In order for McGinn to attract interest from John McGinn 3 fantasy managers this season, he will need to be consistent in attack. Last year, he had a stretch of 15 (Midfielder-5.5) consecutive appearances without a goal involvement. He will be incredibly more valuable to the Villa attack if Grealish leaves.

Trézéguet appeared in 34 matches last year, but he did not play extended minutes. He featured off the bench Trézéguet 4 14 times and only played more than 70 minutes on 14 occasions. Still, the 25-year old Egyptian scored six (Midfielder-5.5) goals and totaled 98 FPL points, both of which were second-best to Jack Grealish.

Due to an injury, Targett did not feature in any of the first six matches of the 2019/20 season, but made 28 5 appearances and played the full 90 minutes in 22 of them. He contributed four attacking returns (goal, 3 (Defender-4.5) assists), and totaled 80 FPL points, ten of which were bonus points, which was second-best on the team.

Last year, El Ghazi appeared in 34 matches and totaled nine attacking returns (4 goals, 5 assists), second-best 6 (Midfielder-6.0) on the team. He averaged 2.74 FPPM, but a price increase to 6.0 makes him less appealing this year.

In 45 appearances last year, Bramford scored 16 goals and had 2 assists. Once the 27-year old center-forward Patrick Bramford gets service inside the penalty area, he has an eye for goal, as his 104 shots inside that space led the division. 1 (Forward-5.5) However, his conversion percentage must improve, as he missed 33 big chances last year, by far the most in The Championship. Priced at 5.5, fantasy managers my target Bramford as a third forward option.

After two dozen goal involvements in 2018/19 (12 goals, 12 assists), Hernández contributed another 18 attacking returns (9 goals, 9 assist) in 2019/20, while playing 1,000 fewer minutes due to a hamstring issue. Pablo Hernández 2 His minutes were managed after the restart to ensure he would be ready for the new campaign, because the 35- (Midfielder-6.0) year old Spaniard will be counted on to advance the Leeds attack in the midfield. Last year, his 82 key passes ranked 9th in The Championship and he attempted five shots from set pieces.

Harrison was one of only two Leeds United players to appear in all 46 matches, mostly doing so as a left-winger. Jack Harrison 3 He was directly involved with 14 goals (6 goals, 8 assists), delivered 87 key passes, which was 8th in the (Midfielder-5.5) league, and is one of the club’s two primary corner takers.

Dallas appeared in all but one match least year, scoring five goals and delivering three assists. His versatility provided cover when needed, as he played in the midfield and was used in defense. He played at least 60 4 (Defender-4.5) minutes in 43 of 45 matches and went the full 90 minutes 40 times. If Dallas is used in the midfield, his 4.5 price as a defender could draw a lot of attention.

In 2019/20, Ayling appeared in 37 matches and played the full 90 minutes 33 times. He scored four goals and delivered four assists, primarily from his right-back position. There were times last year when he provided 5 (Defender-4.5) cover at center-back, but as long as Leeds’ two center-halves are healthy, Ayling should play an advanced role on the right side of the formation.

Last year, Klich made 45 appearances, had eleven goal involvements (6 goals, 5 assists), and converted two of 6 his three penalty kicks. He played at least 60 minutes in every match in which he appeared and delivered 79 (Midfielder-5.5) key passes, which ranked 11th in The Championship.

As the club captain last year, Cooper was steady in defense and helped Leeds secure the most clean sheets in 7 The Championship. He ranked 11th in interceptions with 69, while in attack he contributed two goals. He (Defender-4.5) should be nailed on as the club’s center-back to start the new campaign.

Casilla made 36 appearances last year and kept 15 clean sheets, but he received an eight-game ban for racial 8 abuse. If Leeds’ defense can hold up at the next level, and Casilla can keep his head, he could be a low-budget (Goalkeeper-4.5) keeper option in 2019/20. West Brom

Sam Johnstone (GK) 46 46-46-46 14 1-0 4.5 West Brom 2020/21 Team Player Rankings

Ranking West Brom’s Top Fantasy Assets

Rank Player (Pos-Price) Fantasy Impact

Pereira was instrumental in West Brom winning promotion into the Premier League, as the 24-year old Brazilian Matheus Pereira scored 8 goals and led the Championship with 16 assists. He also led the league in big chances created (20), 1 (Midfielder-6.0) key passes (116) and attempted the fourth-most shots from set pieces (16). His 6.0 price tag will likely keep him out of GW1 teams, but Pereira is one of the better players from the three promoted sides

Johnstone appeared in all 46 matches last year and kept 14 clean sheets. His 112 saves were best among 2 keepers from the three promoted clubs. Priced at 4.5, Johnstone could be a keeper many fantasy managers use (Goalkeeper-4.5) in a rotation based on fixtures.

Phillips made 39 appearances last year and totaled 13 attacking returns (7 goals, 6 assists). His 55 key passes 3 ranked 29th in The Championship, and he created the sixth-most big chances (14). After Matheus Pereira, (Midfielder-5.5) Phillips represents the next-best FPL option in the West Brom midfield

Ajayi appeared in 43 matches last year and played 90 minutes 42 times. The 26-year old Nigerian center-back was a consistent presence in the West Brom defense, finishing 2019 campaign with 13 clean sheets, while 4 (Defender-5.0) contributing five goals in attack. Ajayi and Fulham’s are the only two defenders from the three promoted clubs to be priced at 5.0.

Bartley appeared in 38 matches last year and finished 11th in the league with 34 blocked shots and 20th in 5 clearances (171). The 29-year old center-back kept nine clean sheets and chipped in on attack with two goals (Defender-4.5) and two assists.

Austin rotated with Robson-Kanu up front after the club moved away from Kenneth Zohore, who opened the 2019/20 campaign as the club’s first-choice striker. Austin appeared in 34 games and started 18 times. He 6 (Forward-5.5) played at least 60 minutes on 16 occasions and scored ten goals while assisting two others. The 31-year old forward played 1,500 minutes last year, while teammate Robson-Kanu played 2,300 minutes.

Robson-Kanu shared center-forward duties with Charlie Austin throughout most of the 2019/20 campaign. He Hal Robson-Kanu appeared in 39 matches, 24 as a starter, and featured as a substitute 15 times. Robson-Kanu scored ten goals 7 (Forward-5.5) and assisted another, while earning 800 more minutes than Austin. Based on minutes, Robson-Kanu may be the better 5.5 option if looking to choose between the two. Fulham

In 41 appearances last year, Mitrovic led the Championship in goals scored with 26. His 123 shots were the Aleksandar Mitrovic third-most in the division and he put 57 on target, which ranked 2nd. Mitrovic, who be 26-years old when the 1 (Forward-6.0) 2019/20 campaign begins, put eleven balls in the back of the net two seasons ago with Fulham, who spent the 2018/19 season in the top flight, so his 6.0 price seems like good value for a proven player.

In 45 appearances last season, Knockaert scored three goals and had four assists, numbers that do not 2 necessarily reflect how involved he was in Fulham attack. He took 56 shots (32nd) and put 26 of those on (Midfielder-5.5) target (31st). The 28-year old Frenchman also made 59 key passes (24th) and created 12 big chances (11th).

During the season, the 23-year old Slovakian keeper signed an extension that will keep him at the club through Marek Rodák 2024. Last year, he appeared in 36 matches and kept 13 clean sheets. Even with time missed, Rodák saved 99 3 (Goalkeeper-4.5) shots, which ranked 12th in the Championship. He’ll undoubtedly face a lot of shots this season, which makes his 4.5 price attractive for fantasy managers looking for a budget option.

Bryan, Fulham’s left-back, made 46 Championship appearances last season and played the full 90 minutes 36 times. In attack, he scored three goals, had seven assists, delivered 49 key passes and created eleven big Joe Bryan 4 chances. His seven assists were joint best among defenders in the league, while his 49 key passes and eleven (Defender-5.0) big chances created were second-best among defenders. Bryan’s brace against Brentwood in the playoff final squashed any chance of him coming into the game at 4.5.

Last year, Cairney appeared in 42 matches and played at least 80 minutes 35 times. He made 71 key passes, which ranked 14th in the division, and finished with three assists. He scored eight goals, which was second- 5 (Midfielder-5.5) best at the club, as Cairney can lock on to the target from distance. Five of his eight goals scored were struck from outside the penalty area.

Last year, Reid made 44 Championship appearances and played at least 60 minutes 32 times, but he only Bobby Decordova-Reid played the full 90 minutes on 21 occasions. On the season, Reid scored six goals, had three assists, and 6 (Forward-5.5) attempted 52 shots (41st), while putting 33 of those on target (22nd). However, his 15 missed big chances were the fifth-most in the league.

Cavaleiro had the second-most goal involvements at the club in 2019/20, scoring six goals and assisting seven. He made 44 appearances and played at least 60 minutes 33 times, but don’t expect him to go the full 90 very 7 (Forward-5.5) often. Cavaleiro only made it to the 80-minute mark 21 times last year. Still, he played the fifth-most minutes at the club, made 66 key passes (19th), and created 14 big chances (5th).
