So ist es auch mit einem weiteren wichtigen Aspekt, der für manchen Betrachter zunächst womöglich etwas abstrakt wirken mag, jedoch seit langer Zeit von ungemeiner Bedeutung ist mit Blick auf Stabilität und Integrität des Wettbewerbs: dem Lizenzierungsverfahren. Dieses Gütesiegel zeichnet den deutschen Proffußball auch nach vielen Jahren aus – und bündelt zahlreiche Aspekte aus verschiedensten Bereichen, um den insgesamt hohen Standard aufrechtzuerhalten. Ob es die wirtschaftliche und organisatorische Situation der Clubs betrifft, die Infrastruktur der Stadien oder die Arbeitsbedingungen für Medienvertreter. Das Lizenzierungsverfahren ist ein komplexer Vorgang mit vielen Beteiligten, der sich in jeder Hinsicht bewährt hat – und dies dank stetiger Weiterentwicklung unverändert tut. Zur Basis gehört die wichtige Tatsache, dass die Clubs sich das Verfahren selbst auferlegt haben. Bis zum 15. März war nun wieder Zeit, die Unterlagen für die kommende Saison einzureichen.
