2016 Annual Report Alexandria Police Department Michael Brown CONTENTS CHIEF OF POLICE Chief’s Message 2 Dear Alexandria, On behalf of the women and men of the Alexandria Police Department, Organizational Chart I present the 2016 Annual Report. I am pleased to announce that total 3 Part I crime decreased 4% in calendar year 2016 versus 2015, except in homicides and auto thefts. Alexandria continues to experience historic crime lows. Year in Review 4 The decreasing crime rate reflects well on our community and the hard work of the employees of the Alexandria Police Department and our Map of the City 5 partners. While the report contains the statistical information shared with the FBI, it also includes highlights from each bureau with the Alexandria Police Department.
