SUNDAY MOVIE

“THE VICAR OF DIBLEY” 1st March at 2pm in the Lounge Starring Dawn French & Emma Chambers The Vicar of Dibley is a British sitcom which originally ran on BBC One from 1994 to 1998. It is set in a fictional small Oxfordshire village called Dibley, which is assigned a female vicar following the 1992 changes in the Church of England that permitted the ordination of women. Hilarity ensues as Geraldine tries to win over the stodgy council members while staying true to herself and her pastorate.

TUESDAY MOVIE “GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN” 3rd March at 1.00pm in the Lounge Starring Domhnall Gleeson, & Will Tilston. Inspired by the true story, this beautifully filmed and poignant movie gives a rare glimpse into the relationship between beloved children’s author A.A. Milne and his son Christopher Robin. At the end of the first World War, Milne is inspired by his son’s toys to create the magical world of Winnie-the-Pooh, which brings him immediate and enduring celebrity. The book’s international success comes at a cost to the author, his young son and his wife Daphne.

LIFT REPLACEMENT I can advise that significant progress has been made over the past two weeks to dismantle and remove the original lift car. Kone (the lift contractor) have advised that they are on schedule and will aim to complete the project within the next four weeks. COMMENCEMENT OF COMMON AREA PAINTING Specialized painting contractors will commence from next Wednesday March 4, to commence their work of preparing and painting, common area walls and doors in the apartment block. At the same time they will be repainting the columns in the pool area and the support posts under the pergola in the BBQ area. The selected colour for the carpet replacement as well as the colour scheme for the apartment corridors can be viewed on the display in the Lounge. An order for the carpet will be placed this week for the installation to occur on completion of the painting. Once again, I wish to thank all residents for their patience during the time that the work is proceeding.
