OUR LOCATION

Durham is located in , close to Newcastle upon Tyne. Durham is a pedestrian- friendly City, with most people walking and cycling or taking the bus around the City and further afeld.

Sport is an important part of many Durham University students’ lives, with students from all ability levels competing.

Our student performance programme is the largest in Britain, featuring 113 teams in the 2016/17 season, including 26 British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) premier league teams in 15 sports: American football, , , , fencing, football, futsal, golf, hockey, lacrosse, , squash, , and .
