The West Midlands’ only Sky Ride event is once again taking place in Coventry this year. Sky Ride provides participants with the chance to enjoy the experience of cycling around a traffic-free city. The free family event takes place on 7 August. Attractions and activities to enjoy along this year’s route include the Extreme Mountain Bike Show, British Cycling’s Go Ride chil- dren’s obstacle course, quiz-show games and facepainting. “We want more people to enjoy riding a bike,” says Sky Ride ambassador Sir Chris Hoy. “That’s why Sky and British Cycling have teamed up to bring you Sky Ride. We’ve made it easier than ever to get out on your bike and spend quality time with your family and friends. “Sky Rides close towns and cities for big bike events so you can ride safely on traffic-free streets. With a huge festival atmos- phere and loads to do, they’re great fun and a great way to get on your bike.” For more information and to register to take part, visit GoSkyRide.com/CoventrySkyRide Pioneer filmmaker Panto on the captured on canvas lookout for local talent The Royal Spa Centre in Leamington is holding autumn auditions for chil- dren who’d like to be part of the junior chorus in the venue’s pantomime pro- duction of Beauty And The Beast (running from 3 to 31 December).
