What a wonderful turnout we had at our August 12th meeting. With over 100 in attendance, we had initiation of 10 new members, as well as 22 member awards for various years of membership and 10 members received new member recruitment awards. Our post meeting festivities included a fabulous performance by “Kaivama” the Finnish- American Folk group from Minneapolis. Jonathan Rundman on guitar, harmonium and piano and Sara Pajunen on violin played song after song for the crowd’s enjoyment. I believe a good time was had by all. (See photos from concert on Page 4.) Look for the details of our next meeting on September 9th on Page 3. Pam Steuernagel and I will be cooking Chicken Tetrazzini and providing garden salad, bread and dessert for you. We have nomination of new officers coming up. If you are willing to be on the nominating committee or are willing to run for office, please call me at 414-526-8312 or email me at [email protected] .
