The event took place this Sunday past at Periwinkle Community Park under blue skies accompanied by billowy breezes that had the aromas of fourteen competing restaurants permeating the air. As CROW's (Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife) largest fundraiser, it is also the islands' biggest party and best food competition around. The mission of CROW is the rescue, rehabilitation and release back into the wild of" sick, orphaned and injured native and migratory wildlife. Over 3,600 taste-goers helped make this event an even bigger success than last year's 25th Anniversary event. Thank-you to all the great restaurants — some who come year after year, and some 2006 newcomers — who cooked the fabulous foods. The delicacies were savored by a panel of five judges who had a very fulfilling job of choosing the win- I ivo |udj:os kiiDVMi lor ners in seven food categories and the prestigious Taste of the then C\|1L'IIIM.' when it Taste, best overall trophy. cumes ID IMCIU lasies piv- And the winners in their respective categories were — scnl and accouiitcd lor Ellington's Best Appetizer; were I)T.
