The proposed office building is the second phase of a two phased development, connected by an air rights development via a publically accessible open space above the rail corridor. The site includes 141 Bay Street and a partial overhang above the rail corridor. The proposal integrates two elevated PATH pedestrian bridges, one spanning Bay Street directly into Union Station and a second spanning Yonge Street into the Backstage condominium development on the east side of Yonge Street. The proposal is consistent with the relevant policies of the Official Plan. This tour will use Toronto's downtown core as a setting to explore best practices in bicycle parking design and management, while visiting several major destinations and cycling hotspots in the area. Starting at City Hall, we will visit secure indoor bicycle parking, on-street bike corrals, Union Station's off-street bike racks, the Bike Share Toronto system, and also provide a history of Toronto's iconic post and ring bike racks.
