Saturday, March 10th ~ Tree & Lawn Care “Let’s Talk” ~ 10:00am-12:00pm ~ FREE Join us for a discussion with Bartlett Tree Service’s Matthew Tobola and TruGreen LandCare about the maintenance of your trees and lawn for these upcoming spring and summer seasons. Topics to be covered will include dealing with draught conditions and more. AMLD will also try to have someone present from the Austin Water and the Williamson County Extension Office. Geocache Workshop~1:00-3:00pm~ FREE AMLD is glad to have Bob and Ryan Beltran, two avid Geocachers, back again to lead another workshop on Saturday March 10th from 1pm to 3pm. Join us at the AMLD Community Center (11500 El Salido Parkway) to learn and discuss what Geocache is all about. This second Geocache workshop for AMLD will include a little bit more than just an introduction to Geocaching. Last year our first workshop searched for caches in El Salido Park. This workshop will introduce Geocaching, tell you about the Geocache community and if you are ready for some excitement will send you on your way to find some caches around town. People attending the event can exchange contact info and then communicate any caches found later that day to the other Geocachers that attended the workshop! Parent’s Night Out “Down Under the Sea”~ 6:30-10:30pm ($15/child + $10/each additional child per household) Parents you deserve a break! Let your kids join us for an evening of fun. See page 4 for more information. Individuals, or 2 to 3 person relay teams may race. Check in: 7:30am ~ Start time : 8am Bike helmets required of all riders. Estimated 100 yd freestyle swim time required for seeding. Awards will be given for all participants!!! We’ll be showing a G or PG-Rated movie while floating in the pool. Swim until the movie starts, stretch out on a blanket/ towel under the stars or hang out on your float and enjoy the feature film. A parent must be in the water with children under 7 or non- swimmers at all times. Create memorable summer fun with AMLD this summer. El Salido Pool will feature music, food, games and a fun pool-side atmosphere to be yourself while hanging out with good friends. Water volleyball, raft races and the like will be held as well as other various contests. Anderson Mill...Where Community Matters!!! 3 Programs & Events 4th of July Pool Party Wednesday, July 4th 2012 2 - 4pm ~Neighborhood Pool Party~ Staying in town for the 4th? Celebrate with us and beat the summer heat at El Salido Pool. Jamee Stewart and her staff will have special activities, music and decorations to wrap up the 4th of July weekend festivities with a splash. Are you ready for a date night or just need some time to get things done around the house? Kids do you need a night of fun without the parents making new friends from the area? Then sign up for Parents’ Night Out. Once a month, on the second Saturday we hold a Parent’s Night Out for children ages 4-12 at the AMLD Community Center located at 11500 El Salido Parkway, Austin, TX 78750, 6:30-10:30pm. Fees for participants are $15 for the first child and $10 for each additional child per household.
