Paxton Earns Key Harris County Endorsements from Realty Business Coalition and “C” Club of Houston

(McKinney, ) – Today the campaign announced two key endorsements from the “C” Club of Houston, as well as the Houston Realty Business Coalition (HRBC).

The purpose of the “C” Club of Houston is to promote an environment in which candidates possessing high moral principles and a clear vision of the future can be elected. The “C” Club's non-partisan support of political candidates is heavily based upon, but not limited to, the candidate's support of conservative fiscal policies; and, the preservation of our communities and the promotion of a strong economy. Founded in 1964, the “C” Club PAC is composed of 100 fiscally conservative Houston business and professional members who make a continuous study of local, Texas government.

"'C' Club is proud to endorse Ken Paxton for Attorney General. Ken's record is unquestionably conservative. Ken has the unique ability to attract voters across the Republican spectrum. Ken Paxton has the capability to cut short this period of gross federal overreach for Texas and expand upon the foundation has created," said David Peacock, President of "C" Club. "We will help Ken win in the Republican runoff and look forward to his service to our great state as Attorney General.”

Established in 1967, the mission of HRBC is to support public policy, elected officials and candidates for elected office that promote our core values of limited government, capitalism and private property rights.

Alan Hassenflu, Vice Chairman, HRBC, stated, "Senator Ken Paxton understands the needs and concerns of the business community and we are confident in his capability, qualifications and experience to serve in the enormous role of . Ken has shown in his long career as a legislator in the State Senate and State House that he is willing to take tough stands and fight for the conservative principles that make Texas the thriving economic engine it is today. HRBC is glad to endorse Ken and will be an active participant in this runoff election to ensure him a victory."

On March 4th, Senator Paxton shocked political observers with his first-place showing. During early voting, the Dan Branch campaign released a poll showing Representative Branch with an almost 2-1 lead over Senator Paxton. Despite being outspent more than 2-1, Senator Paxton led the field with 44%, coming within just 6 points of winning outright. Additionally, Paxton won Dan Branch’s home county of and his other “home” county of Bexar, where Rep. Branch grew up and still has family. Senator Paxton won 19 of the top 20 counties in Texas, and won 51 of the top 75 counties representing approximately 85% of the GOP vote.
