Veteran Dog, 8 yrs. & under 10 yrs Veteran Bitch, 8 yrs. & under 10 yrs. MASTER CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years and under 18 years old on the day of the show Veteran Dog, 10 yrs. & under 12 yrs. Veteran Bitch, 10 yrs. & under 12 yrs. and who, at the time entries close, have won ten First Places, with competition present, in an Open Class at a Veteran Dog, 12 yrs. & over Veteran Bitch, 12 yrs. & over licensed or member show. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC Note: In accordance with AKC’s Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 8: Castrated National Championship. AWARDS OF MERIT (Both Specialties) Awards of Merit may be awarded to those dogs or bitches NOT winning Best of Breed, Best of Opposite to OBEDIENCE CLASSES (Both Specialties) Best of Breed, Select Dog or Select Bitch, but of such outstanding quality as to deserve honorable mention. Recipients are to be selected at the Judge’s discretion and awards given immediately following the awarding REGULAR CLASSES of Best of Breed, Best of Winners, Best of Opposite Sex, Select Dog and Select Bitch. The total number of Novice A & B Open Class A & B Utility Class A & B’ such awards shall be limited to not more than 25% of the total entry of Specials or to 10 awards, whichever is less.
