This plan is subject to change as necessary. 1. IF YOU ARE ILL, COUGHING, SNEEZING, RUNNING A TEMPERATURE OR FEEL UNWELL, please stay home because any Exhibitor or Attendee with these conditions will not be admitted to The Event. 2. EXPOSURE TO COVID-19: If you have recently tested positive for COVID-19, or if you have recently been in the presence of a person who has either tested positive for COVID-19 or has the symptoms of COVID-19 (including, but not limited to, coughing, sneezing, or high temperature), please stay home because any such by Exhibitor or Attendee will not be admitted to The Event. If proof of a positive COVID-19 test dated from The Event closing dates through April 25, 2021, is submitted, you will be eligible for a partial refund of entry fees. 3. WRISTBANDS AND ADMISSION INTO THE EVENT: The following procedures will be in place throughout The Event: a. Wrist Bands or Stickers: All Exhibitors, and Attendees will be given a wrist band or sticker to indicate The Clubs have a signed Waiver on file. If you lose your wrist band/ sticker or it falls off, please go to the COVID-19 Monitor for another wrist band or sticker; it will be confirmed that a signed Waiver is on file before another wrist band or sticker will be issued. Please note you MUST have a wrist band or sticker to pick up any armbands; and b. Failure to comply with these procedures will result in a bench hearing. 4. ATTENDANCE: All Exhibitors and Attendees must adhere to the Social Distancing Guidelines provided in Paragraph 5 below. This includes, but is not limited to, placing chairs six (6) feet apart or creating small “family units.” Please understand that Exhibitors and Attendees may be asked to move, spread out, or wait outside the building, so that state, county, and/or local social distancing requirements may be maintained. 5. SOCIAL DISTANCING: All Exhibitors and Attendees must maintain social distancing of the recommended six (6) feet from others in attendance at The Event. Please be cognizant that other Exhibitors and Attendees may have medical issues or concerns of which you are unaware. Those in attendance at The Event will undoubtedly have different levels of concern and fear, and thus The Clubs are requiring that each individual in attendance at The Event to be respectful of others. 6. MASKS: PER AKC AND THE CLUBS, EVERYONE IN ATTENDANCE AT THIS EVENT WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES THAT ADEQUATELY COVERS BOTH THE NOSE AND MOUTH. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN MASK(S). THERE WILL NOT BE ANY EXCEPTIONS. 7. DESIGNATED COVID-19 MONITORS: The Clubs will have assigned throughout the duration of The Event “COVID-19 Monitors”, including before and after The Event for set up and break down, who will be responsible for the following: a. Ensuring that all Exhibitors and Attendees are in compliance with the mask-wearing requirement set forth in Paragraph 6 above;

Ensuring that all Exhibitors and Attendees are wearing a wrist band or sticker as provided to them to indicate that The Clubs have a signed Waiver on file for that individual; and c. Providing the COVID-19 Event Waiver to those who need to execute it prior to entry into The Event facilities. 8. SANITIZING STATIONS: Sanitizing stations will be placed throughout The Event facilities which will include disinfecting wipes and/or hand sanitizer. 9. CRATING: Dogs may only be crated ringside 15 minutes prior to, and during judging, and dogs shall not be permitted to be crated anywhere else on The Event or facility premises, with the exception of automobiles or under personal canopies set-up six (6) feet apart or in small “family units” outside in Parking Lots A & C. Ringside crates must have the recommended spacing of six (6) feet between them. No blow dryers will be permitted ringside or anywhere else inside a building throughout The Event facilities. 10. ARM BANDS: You must know your arm band number and have a wrist band or sticker before picking up your arm band. A table will be provided, and the arm bands laid out in advance of each class. Remember to maintain social distancing guidelines while you are obtaining your arm bands. 11. ENTRANCE AND EXIT FROM THE EVENT FACILITIES: a. On the first day of the Exhibitor’s and Attendee’s attendance at The Event, it must be confirmed that all Exhibitors and Attendees to The Event have signed the “COVID-19 Event Waiver.” Entry will be denied to anyone refusing to sign the Waiver. b. Once it has been confirmed that The Clubs have a signed waiver for the Exhibitor and/or Attendee, the Exhibitor and/or Attendee will be issued a wristband/sticker to wear for the duration of the event. If that wristband/sticker is lost or if it comes off, please return to the COVID-19 monitor to obtain another wristband. 12. HAND WASHING: As always, washing your hands frequently and thoroughly and not touching your face decrease the spread of germs. Continual hand washing throughout the day by Exhibitors and/or Attendees is encouraged. The restroom area will provide a wash station, hand sanitizer and paper towels for drying your hands. The Clubs also suggest that Exhibitors and/or Attendees keep a supply of sanitizing wipes and an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with them and use those items as necessary. 13. RING ENTRY/EXIT: The ring will have a separate entrance and exit, clearly marked. Markings will be placed to assist exhibitors with proper distancing while in the ring. THE TACOMA KENNEL CLUB, INC., AND THE CLUBS SPONSORING THE ASSOCIATED EVENTS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO IMPLEMENT ADDITIONAL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES THEY DEEM NECESSARY.

Judges will not wait for you to get to the ring. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION NOVICE CLASS: This shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class. A first place in Novice without competition leading to a Best Junior award with competition would count as one win towards moving to Open at a licensed or member show. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition, if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open, after the closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent or Show Secretary prior to the judging of the class at the show. OPEN CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who have won three first place awards in a Novice Class or if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open in a licensed or member show. Juniors which according to their records have completed the requirements to compete in the Open class but whose status is unconfirmed by the American Kennel Club are limited to competing in the Open Class for a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the Junior completed the requirements according to their records. MASTER CLASS: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year. NOVICE AND OPEN CLASS DIVIDED: Junior-9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show; Intermediate-12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show; Senior-15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show. After the judge has awarded the Best Junior Handler, the second place winner from the class that the Junior was awarded Best Junior Handler is to return to the ring to compete for Reserve Best Junior Handler. 2021 • TACOMA KENNEL CLUB • 9 AKC NATIONAL OWNER-HANDLED SERIES The purpose of the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS) is to recognize and showcase the quality dogs being exhibited by owner/handlers and to provide a venue for the owner/handlers to compete against their peers. The determination of the awards in the AKC National Owner-Handled Series is based solely on the quality of the entry. The owner/handler’s handling ability is not of consideration. • Dog must be marked as eligible to compete in the AKC NOHS prior to the closing of entries. There is no additional fee to enter this competition. • Dogs must be handled by an eligible owner/handler for the AKC NOHS throughout the breed level (all classes, Winners, and Best of Breed) competition. Additionally, dogs must be handled byan eligible owner/handler for all AKC National Owner-Handled Series competition (Group and Best in Show). Any person may exhibit the dog in the regular Group and Best in Show competitions. • Exhibitors must declare their dog AKC National Owner-Handled Series eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. The handler must be an owner of record according to the AKC’s records as of the date of the show. Dogs declared eligible will be identified by an asterisk or other representative mark in the judge’s book, steward’s book, and the show catalog. • *Professional handlers, household members and current assistants to professional handlers may not exhibit. • The Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the eligible dogs that competed in the Best of Breed/Variety competition for the regular show. This includes Winners Dog, Winners Bitch, and the undefeated winners of the non-regular classes. This excludes all dogs defeated during class and winners competition for the regular show. *Professional handler is defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. Eligibility restrictions apply to all members of the same household. Household members and current assistants to professional handlers in conformation are not eligible to exhibit in this competition. A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional handler on a full-time basis, or assisting a professional handler at the show or any time during the cluster/weekend. Current assistants that are eligible to compete in Junior Showmanship (meet age & amateur status requirements) may participate in NOHS.

USE OF RAMPS – ALL BREEDS A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging. AKC approval is not required. The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table, or ramp). At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on a ramp through all levels of competition: Lagotto Romagnolo, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, American Water Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen, Standard Schnauzers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Finnish , Entlebucher Mountain Dogs, Finnish Lapphunds, Icelandic Sheepdogs, Norwegian Buhunds, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs, Spanish Water Dogs, and (Misc.). At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition, the following breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp, or on a table: Boykin Spaniels, Whippets, and Miniature Bull Terriers. At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition, the following breeds may be judged on a ramp, or on a table: . The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: Clumber Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Basset Hounds, Cirneco dell’Etnas, Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei, Keeshonden, and Chow Chows. This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation dog shows and any AKC event where a conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4–6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offer Group and BIS competitions. Ramps can be used in emergency situation to judge any breed. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor may withdraw their entry and receive a refund. An administration fee may apply. 20 • TACOMA KENNEL CLUB • 2021 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS – ALL EVENTS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. • The American Kennel Club will collect: a $3.00 Event Service Fee and $.50 Recording Fee where applicable for the first entry of a dog, plus a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non- regular recordable single-entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club events. At every licensed or member club rally trial, a recording fee of $3.50 is required for the first entry of each dog and a recording fee of $3.00 is required for each additional entry of the same dog. • No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. There is no provision for unentered dogs. • LOSS OR DAMAGE – The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. • Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.
