Saturday 8:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. 5 American Kennel Club’s 5th Rally National Championship and 24th National Obedience Championship June 29-July 1, 2018 June 2018 Welcome to the 2018 AKC Rally® National Championship, now in its 5th year; and the AKC National Obedience Championship, which is in its 24th year! Where does the time go? Thank you for joining us in Wilmington, OH for these events. We know the late notice for the location change was challenging for some of you and we are so pleased that you made the decision to attend. We’re going to have a great time! The AKC Rally National Championship has become the premiere competition for all dogs competing from Novice through RAE; and next year the format will change, with the addition of the Intermediate and Master level classes. At this year’s event, three hundred eighty-eight handler and dog teams are coming from thirty-six states and Canada. Eighty-two breeds will participate in this cumulative score format, with 149 teams vying for the title of 2018 AKC Rally National Champion, which will be crowned at the end of the day on Friday. The AKC National Obedience Championship is the most prestigious obedience event of the year for Obedience Trial Champions and OTCH- pointed dogs of all breeds and mixed breeds. One hundred and forty-nine handler and dog teams are coming from thirty-two states and Canada. Forty-nine different breeds will participate in the unique format designed especially for the NOC, where the top fifty dogs will move forward to Sunday’s competition. On Sunday afternoon, the top twenty teams will go head to head in the final round resulting in the naming of the 2018 National Obedience Champion, First through Third Runner-Ups and the overall top ten teams. These two events will be exciting to see from beginning to end. You will see top scoring teams at their best. The rapport between the dogs and their handlers and the bond that exists as a result of spending so many hours training together will be second to none. 6 Exhibitors we wish you good luck! We compliment the hard work and dedication that qualified you to enter these prestigious events. While there will only be one National Champion named for each event, your presence is proof that you and your dog are already winners.     V765/1 List of Vehicle Owners Clubs N.B. The information contained in this booklet was correct at the time of going to print. The most up to date version is available on the internet website: www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration/old-vehicles 8/21 V765 scheme How to register your vehicle under its original registration number: a. Applications must be submitted on form V765 and signed by the keeper of the vehicle agreeing to the terms and conditions of the V765 scheme. A V55/5 should also be filled in and a recent photograph of the vehicle confirming it as a complete entity must be included. A FEE IS NOT APPLICABLE as the vehicle is being re-registered and is not applying for first registration. b. The application must have a V765 form signed, stamped and approved by the relevant vehicle owners/enthusiasts club (for their make/type), shown on the ‘List of Vehicle Owners Clubs’ (V765/1). The club may charge a fee to process the application. c. Evidence MUST be presented with the application to link the registration number to the vehicle. Acceptable forms of evidence include:- • The original old style logbook (RF60/VE60). • Archive/Library records displaying the registration number and the chassis number authorised by the archivist clearly defining where the material was taken from. • Other pre 1983 documentary evidence linking the chassis and the registration number to the vehicle. If successful, this registration number will be allocated on a non-transferable basis. How to tax the vehicle If your application is successful, on receipt of your V5C you should apply to tax at the Post Office® in the usual way.

Following the ongoing success of giving cheques as ‘Travel Vouchers’ we have again decided to offer 4 prizes totalling £1000 as a thank you for your ongoing support of the Association. Roger Gaffney will again be organising the draw and has asked that every counterfoil be completed as the books are split with the individual counterfoils being entered into the draw. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Old Chelmsfordians Association’ please. If anyone would like extra tickets or wish to donate towards the prizes they should contact Roger on 01245 269388. Please make every effort to support the draw as this really does make a difference to what we can continue to do at Lawford Lane. The Draw will take place in the Clubhouse on Sunday, December 9th at 1.00pm and we would be delighted to see you there. Large at the start, the attendance went on increasing, till late in the afternoon there were 24,000 people on the ground. It was feared at first that owing to a small abscess in the throat Ranjitsinhji would have to stand out of the England eleven. However, after consulting a doctor, he found himself able to play, so Stoddart made way for him. The other player left out was Board. With Stoddart away Maclaren captained the side. Trott won the toss, and such a fine start was made by Australia that at the end of the day 283 runs had been scored for the loss of only three wickets. McLeod and Darling opened the innings to the bowling of Richardson and Hirst. The early batting was slow and marked by great caution. Richardson bowled four maiden overs in succession and the fielding was superb. With the total at 17, Briggs went on in place of Richardson, off whom only one run had been made. Darling scored eight in Briggs’s first over, and then, at 25, Richardson bowled at Hirst’s end. Darling did nearly all the hitting, getting 23 runs out of the first 27. As the game proceeded, the play became freer in character, Darling’s cutting being very clean and neat.
