The tournament is open to students in grades Kindergarten to 12. 2. This is a Quads Tournament, meaning four players will be grouped in each section by grade level and/or USCF rating, 3. Each section will play in round-robin format. 4. All skill levels are welcome, beginners to advanced, but players must already know how to play chess. In other words, there will be no instruction; players must know how to make legal chess moves. 5. There will be rated and unrated sections; Players with a USCF chess rating will play other people with similar rating. Those without a rating will play other players in their grade level. 6. Trophies will be awarded to section winners. 7. Certificates will be awarded to players with winning records. Other Important Information Children age 9 and under must have parent present at tournament. A waiting room will be available for parents and players who are awaiting games. Light refreshment will be provided for players. .
