Opening ABCD Scramble — one day event • Format: Teams of 3 or 4 players each will be put together by the Pro Shop from those signed up for the scramble. The teams include an A, B, C, & D flight player, to be as equal as possible. All players are encouraged to participate. This event is usually not handicapped unless teams are very far apart, then handicap. • Each team member hits their , often the D player goes first and the team hits in reverse order, the A player hitting last so she can “go-for-it” if there is a good shot in play already. Each team member’s shot must be used at least 2 times over the 18 holes. The team then chooses the best shot and all 4 players hit from within 1 club length (no closer to the hole). On the green, balls are played from the same spot within 6”, no closer to the hole. Often the D player putts first, showing the line (or showing the others) how to putt. . • The lowest total team score wins.

• In cases where one of the tams consist of a threesome, where everyone else is a foursome, the following rules apply: then player above and below the issuing player (i.e. if B player is missing, A & C player will alternate hitting two shots to make up the difference. • Payouts: Must pay all people on each winning team. Use entry fee money collected by the Pro Shop to pay out Pro Shop credit for prizes to the winning team(s). Tournament funds may be used as pro shop credit to cover extra Closest to the Pin or Closest to the Line prizes. • Variation: Step aside scramble. All players hit their tee shots. The three players whose shot didn’t get used hit their ball from that position. Play continues in this manner until on the green. Once on the green, all 4 players are back in the game – each putting until the ball is holed out. The flyer will designate which format is to be used. Flag Tournament – one day 9-hole event • Format: This 9-hole tournament is played as an individual event where each player is allocated half of her 18-hole handicap plus 36. She will be provided with a flag containing her name and allocated total strokes. When the player has reached that score, she plants her flag in the ground, whether it is fairway or green, etc. Whoever goes the farthest is the winner. If a player completes the nine and still has strokes, play continues to next hole(s) until all strokes are used up. Points are awarded based on the net score of the individual player (after handicap adjustment) or the best team score as follows • Net Result Points: - Double Bogey or worse – 0 points - Bogey – 1 point - –2points - Birdie – 3 points - Eagle – 4 points - Double Eagle – 5 points • Each player plays their own ball and records points based on their net score. • Each foursome will be made up of 2 red players and 2 blue players. The match format itself can be set up either as singles matches or as 4 ball matches. Day one can use one format with day two using the other format. Or both days may be played using the same format. The format(s) to be used will be specified on the flyer.

• The difference between the two formats is as follows. - The four-ball format is a match where the two players from the same team (red or blue) each plays their own balls and records their own scores, so ‘four balls’ are in play on each hole. The team whose player scores the lowest net score wins the hole. Should players from each side tie for the lowest net score the hole is said to be halved. Each match will be worth 3 points; one for the front nine, one for the back nine and one for total holes won. A point is earned if a player wins the most holes on each nine or total. - The singles format is a match where one red player will play against one blue player head to head with the player having the lower net score winning the hole. Should opposing players have the same net score on a hole, the hole is said to be halved. Again, each match is worth 3 points, one for the front nine, one for the back nine and one for total holes won. A point is earned if a player wins the most holes on each nine or total. - Payouts: This is a team event so the other team’s entry fee can go to pay the winning team members. That is, the wining team member will get back their $10 entry fee plus the $10 entry fee of their opponent. Additional tournament funds may be used to cover extra closest to the pin or line prizes. There may be separate ‘Closest’ prizes for each team. Red, White, Blue – 1 day event • Format: This 18-hole tournament is played as an individual event or a team event (better ball), with each player playing their own ball. There will be gross and net prizes. The players will tee off from the Red, White, and Blue color tees in a rotating basis (Hole 1,4,7,10,13,16 Red; 2,5,8,11,14,17 White; 3,6,9,12,15,18 Blue) or tell which color to play on each hole (some holes might be too difficult from the blue). The flyer will indicate whether individual or a team format is to be used. • Payouts: Pay x number of individual gross and net winners, depending on number of entries. Entry fees collected are used to pay for prizes. Additional tournament funds may be used to cover extra closest to the pin or line prizes. Note if the blue tee is used on number 12, it will not be used as a CTP hole. Member-Member Championship – 2 day event • Format: This tournament is played as 2 person partner event. The pro shop can help match up singles. As a 2-day event, the formats differ each day; day one is an 18-hole scramble and day two is an 18-hole better ball. This tournament can have closest to the pin and/or closest to the line prizes. This tournament is flighted if the number of entries warrants it. • The scramble is handicapped at a percentage of the combined team handicap; 60% of higher handicap plus 40% of lower handicap. The better ball is also handicapped at a percentage of each individual. • Payouts: Each flight will have gross & net winners. Then out of these winners the overall low gross and net winners will be paid an additional amount. If there is a tie for overall, a will be used to determine overall low gross or overall net winner. • Since this is a Championship event, tournament funds may also be used to add to the prize winnings and extra closest to pin or line prizes. Championship Medal Play & Senior Championship – 2 day event • Format: Each individual plays their own ball counting all strokes until they are in the hole. There are no “gimmies” for this event. This tournament is flighted according to number of entries and handicap ranges. • The winning scores consist of the total of both days played. There will be no closest to the pin or closest to the line contests for this tournament.
