Annual Report for the year-2018-2019

Our NGO established in the year 2009 by young talented rural teaching professionals registered under the Societies, Act, 1960. The main intention of the NGO is focused on rural women and student’s upliftment, empowering them economically, educating rural masses, training to provide self-employment and employ them in various in various sectors.

The NGO started in a small village of Ramanagara District, today is equipped with full-fledge and modern training facility in Magadi Town. We also have opened a branch office in city to spread our mission in semi-urban, slum dwellers and government schools.

In the year 2018-2019 the following were the activities conducted by our NGO:

In the month of April, 2018 our NGO was empanelled by National Human Rights, Commission New Delhi to conduct one day work on awareness of Human Rights on 3rd April 2018. We got grant-in-aid by NHRC and we successfully conducted the workshop in Dr. Venkatgiri Gowda Auditorium, Jnanabharati Campus, Bangalore University. The program was inaugurated by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Sridhar and it was attended by more than 170 post graduate students and about 20 faculty members from various departments including centre for Women Studies. Lecturers were delivered by renowned teaching professionals from various law schools.

Our NGO extended its helping hand for Coorg flood victims by donating packed food items, medicines and specially sanitary napkins for the effected people. The box was handed over to Mr. Gopalaiah the sitting MLA of Mahalakshmilayout in the presence of BBMP Corporator Mr. Mahadeva on 18th August 2018.

On the occasion of Kempegowda Jayanthi our founder President Mr. Ramachandra D C was awarded with prestigous “Nadaprabhu Kempegowda” award for his service to Social work on 01st Septmeber 2018 by Mr. Shivaraj, Leader of the ruling party, BBMP, Bangalore.

On 13th and 14th December, 2018 we conducted the annual drama festival at Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan, Magadi. We had organized two well-known children plays of Rashtrakavi Kuvempu for the benefit of all the students of Magadi Town. On both the days we had more 1300 students and teachers participating and gaining knowledge of the drama.

The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Bharathi Shankar-Ex Chairperson of Women Development Corporation, Government of Karnataka.

On 19th December in co-ordination with National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi we conducted one day workshop on “Women Rights” at Vivekananda Degree College for Women, Srikanteswaranagar, Bangalore for nearby college students and faculty members. The program was inuguarted by Mrs. Hemalatha Gopalaih, Ex-Deputy Mayor, BBMP Bangalore. More than 200 female and around 40 faculty members participated in the program. All the participants were distrubted hand book containing brief information of Human Rights. Eminent speakers from various field enlightened the students on basic rights of Women.

On 01st of February, 2019 in co-ordination with BBMP our NGO conducted a half day workshop on importance of Nutirition for preganant women in Corporation Health Centre, Shankar Nagar Bangalore. Noted dietician Ms. Keerthana spoke the importance of nutirition food and its advantages during pre- pregancy and post pregancy period. The program was presided by Mr. Mahadeva the sitting Coporator. The program was beneficial for more than 100 women. After the guest lecture all the participants were distributed free nutirition food and fruits packets.

On Friday, 15th February 2019 Captain Dr. Rajendra District Commission of Ramanagara inaugurated our newly established training centre at Magadi Town. With this training facility we are planning to train hundreds of local unemployed rural youths and build the required skills to compete in the modern employment world. The modern training centre is equipped and facilitated to provide training on Computer Skills, Hardware and Networking technology, Beauty Therapist Courses, Tailoring knowledge for garments and self employment.

On 01st March, 2019 our new office premises in Magadi Towan was inugaurted by Mr. A Manjunath sitting Member of Legislative, Government of Karnataka.
