KIT A TURNKEY SOLUTION FOR MASS CASUALTY TRANSPORT AND RESPONSE The AmbuBus® Kit, available exclusively from First Line Technology, is an effective and efficient solution for mass evacuation, shelter-in-place, firefighter rehab, and transport of special needs patients, casualties, and those who require non- ambulatory transport. The AmbuBus® Kit will quickly and easily retrofit vehicles of opportunity (like school or metro buses) into mass patient transport vehicles, or it can be used free-standing to bunk patients or responders. The modular design of a standard AmbuBus® consists of a two-frame kit that can be configured to carry up to 18 non-ambulatory patients. The all- inclusive AmbuBus® Conversion Kit contains everything needed to assemble the frames – no power tools required – and is both ruggedized and palletized to allow for quick, simple logistics for pre-positioning and emergency response. Users: Mass Casualty Transport, Mortuary Response, Surge Capacity, Special Needs Evacuation, Firefighter Rehab

AMBUBUS® HIGHLIGHTS • Installs around seats, vents, and wheel wells • Accommodates NATO Regular or Oversized • Illustrated Instructions • Assembles in Two Hours • Ruggedized Transport Kit • Minimal Maintenance • Adjustable to Fit Most Vehicles of Opportunity • Use Free-Standing or in Transport Vehicles • Multiple Configurations • Includes all Installation Tools MASS CASUALTY TRANSPORT INFORMATION All-Hazards Response As cities prepared for the 2005 hurricane season (which included Hurricanes Katrina and Rita), many found it difficult or impossible to evacuate the special needs population from hospitals and other long-term care facilities. In New Orleans, hundreds of buses that could have been converted were left in the flood plain and were eventually ruined due to water damage. The AmbuBus® makes mass evacuation of non-ambulatory persons efficient, effective, affordable, and simple using those very buses. In addition to hurricanes, the AmbuBus® is ideal for disaster planning and preparedness for: • H1N1 & Pandemics • Earthquakes • Mass Casualty Incidents • Hospital Evacuations • Tsunamis • Tornadoes Limitations are capable of transporting only two patients per trip, making them inefficient and costly to operate during mass casualty incidents. Most large buses can be retrofitted with one AmbuBus® Kit (two frames) to transport up to 18 stretcher-bound patients when the majority of bus seats are removed. These configurations leave ample room for medical personnel and equipment. AmbuBus® installation can be customized to allow for space for additional medical staff, ambulatory patients, wheelchairs, and more. Bus Availability Regardless of a locality’s size, there are always buses available for public or student transportation needs. By incorporating these buses and the AmbuBus® Kit into disaster plans, communities can be more prepared to help those with special needs. Localities can store palletized, stackable AmbuBus® Kits in bus depots to allow for easy installation in case of disaster or mass casualty incident.

INFANT TRANSPORT DEVICE INFORMATION Old Transport Device Limitations Until now, the only way to guarantee safe transportation of infants was to use a heavy, cumbersome, and costly transport device. These expensive devices require an electrical supply to function and are not readily available as they require additional equipment and dedicated vehicles. The BabyPod eliminates the need for this cumbersome equipment and dedicated infant transport vehicle while maintaining the utmost in safety for infant transport. The BabyPod seamlessly integrates with medical vehicles, like the AmbuBus®, for mass casualty incident (MCI) transport and hospital evacuation. Compact Size - Easily Transportable The length of the BabyPod is slightly more than one meter (39.37 inches) and is intended for infants weighing up to 17.6 lbs. (8 kg). Its compact size allows for safe, easy transport of a pediatric patient. A unique system featuring FAA-approved webbing straps and quick release buckles allows the BabyPod to be mounted to any patient transport device, like the AmbuBus®, AmbuStretcher®, or any transport . It weighs less than 22 lbs. (10 kg) and can easily be carried by a single person. Cost-Effective The BabyPod costs less than a standard transport isolette and reduces consumption of supplemental oxygen by up to 400 percent (compared to standard transport isolettes), resulting in additional cost savings. Lightweight Carbon Fiber Construction The advanced carbon fiber construction makes BabyPod one of the lightest and strongest infant transport devices in existence. The external shell of the pod is manufactured with no metal components, allowing the infant to have an MRI, CT scan, or X-Ray while remaining safely in the BabyPod. Patient Visibility and Access The BabyPod has a transparent lid that allows for excellent visibility of the infant patient. The lid is secured at both the "Head" and "Foot" with an easy access turn knob. Once released, the lid fully opens to allow the patient to be placed into or removed from the unit, or treated before and after transport. During transport, access to the infant is allowed via 4 access ports - two on either side of the lid. Access for ventilators, syringes, tubing, or wires is provided through two fixed openings on each end of the lid.

The external shell of the BabyPod is manufactured from carbon fiber with no metal components, which allows the infant to have an MRI, CT scan, or X-Ray while remaining safely in the Pod. The carbon fiber BabyPod uses technology, materials, and design features that protect Formula 1 race car drivers from injury during crashes. This high-tech, carbon fiber construction complies with the latest European Ambulance Standards (CEN 1789) requirements.

A unique strapping fixation system that uses webbing straps and quick release buckles allows the pod to be mounted to any patient transport device - like a standard stretcher or the AmbuStretcher®. There is no need for any special mounting points on the stretcher or in the transport vehicle.

ENHANCED INTERIOR SAFETY FEATURES The inside of the carbon fiber BabyPod provides a comfortable and secure environment for the infant through the use of shock-absorbent foam, a vacuum mattress, and soft infant- positioning straps. The vacuum mattress molds around the patient when the air is removed. This provides soft, yet rigid support for the infant during transit. The BabyPod weighs less than 22 lbs (10 kg) and can be carried by a single person, yet can withstand a 10g crash - equivalent to a 30 mpg (55 kph) crash.

10G CRASH TEST The BabyPod is the only transport isolette to comply with European Ambulance Standards (CEN 1789) requirements. Compliance requires 10G crash test survivability, which represents survivability during a crash at 30 mph (55 kph).

SHOCK ABSORBENT FOAM INTERIOR The interior of the BabyPod is a fully removable set of shock absorbent foam sections. Each section consists of two types of foam: a soft "memory" foam and a "shock absorbent" foam. The memory foam faces toward the patient and is primarily for patient comfort. The shock absorbent foam is for patient safety and absorbs movement from any bumps or knocks that may occur during transportation. Each foam section has a cover that is impervious to bacteria and impermeable to blood, secretions, IV solutions, urine, and water vapor. The covers are fully removable and can be wiped clean or machine washed and dried.

The BabyPod is designed to be a flexible transport solution for infants. Additional components are easily mounted to the pod itself, or to the trolley or stretcher on which the BabyPod is secured for transfer. Optional brackets to mount syringe drivers, pumps, and ventilators are available. This additional equipment can be mounted directly to the pod with access through specific slots in the lid. A flexible, multi-directional umbilical arm inside the BabyPod helps keep the tubing in place.

TRANSWARMER® INFANT TRANSPORT MATTRESS The BabyPod uses TransWarmer® Infant Transport Mattresses, which allow incubation for up to two hours without the need for a power source and provide a safe and comfortable solution for treating infants. The unique gel-exothermic mattress is clinically proven to provide a constant 100oF (38oC) temperature for up to two hours without an electrically powered source. The TransWarmer® Mattress is heated by a single-use exothermic reaction within a non-toxic gel. Even outside of the BabyPod, the TransWarmer® Mattress can be a variable source of warmth anywhere in the NICU/PICU, or anywhere else that newborns can experience cold stress.

AMBUBUS® COMPATIBLE The BabyPod is completely AmbuBus® compatible. The AmbuBus® (Bus Stretcher Conversion Kit) from First Line Technology is an effective and efficient solution for mass evacuation and transport of special needs patients, casualties, others who require non- ambulatory transport, and now - with the use of the BabyPod - infants. Quickly and easily retrofit buses or other vehicles of opportunity into mass casualty transport vehicles with an AmbuBus® Kit. With only 1 palletized kit (2 frames), convert an existing passenger bus into an ambulance bus capable of safely transporting up to 18 stretchers and IVs along with 6 operators and their medical support equipment.

The MPMS uses Wireless Vital Signs Monitors® (WVSM®) that are U.S. FDA cleared for use outside of hospital settings. The full MPMS includes one main pouch, an integrated power strip, three zip-on compartments filled with 12 WVSM®s and enough padding to keep the technical components safe. The MPMS integrates simply and easily with a variety of laptop and tablet computers. USES: Emergency Medical Transport, Mass Casualty Transport, Hospital Evacuation, Large Scale Events, Surge Capacity Monitoring, Point of Injury Monitoring, Rehab Monitoring INCLUDES: Main Pouch, WVSM®s, Integrated Power Strip, Preloaded Software on USB

MPMS HIGHLIGHTS

• Easily Transportable & Field-Configurable • WVSM® Cleared For Use By the U.S. FDA • Pre-Wired to Recharge Multiple WVSM®s • Snap-On Tablet Pouch (optional) • Monitors 12 Patients Through WiFi • USB Software • Tent and Vehicle Mountable • Floor Stand (optional)

MPMS INFORMATION Storage & Expandability The MPMS has optional zip-on compartments to extend the system in sets of three WVSM®. Each zip-on compartment includes three separate pouches, each which contains one WVSM® and all the accessories. Each pouch features a clear window for access to the monitor, an easily visible labeling area for patient ID, a Velcro® strap for the blood pressure cuff, and individual storage pockets for the included ECG leads, and pulse oximeter. A single Multiple Patient Monitoring System can hold up to 12 WVSM®s by using the main pouch and attaching three additional zip-on compartments. When all 12 units are in storage, a zip-on protective pad will keep all technical components safe during transport. Plug-and-Go Capability The MPMS features a main power strip that charges the entire system when plugged into a standard outlet. The main power strip invisibly connects a WVSM® power cord to each individual pouch for charging. The Multiple Patient Monitoring System can recharge when rolled for storage or unrolled. WVSM® Wireless technology, like the WVSM®, enables reliable monitoring of many patients at the point of injury, during transport, or in surge capacity and provides a way for information to reach healthcare personnel faster; the faster a patient’s vital signs are accurately obtained the better the outcome. When paired with the AmbuBus® and the MPMS, the WVSM® can create a mobile medical facility that will treat up to 20 patients during evacuation, on the go, or in case of mass casualties. The WVSM® is mobile, affordable, intuitive, and works with today’s wireless technologies. From point of injury through patient transport and into advanced care, the WVSM® transmits patient data, monitoring non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP), pulse oximetry (SpO2) and three lead electrocardiogram (ECG).
