I recently found myself in PA escorting 14 Chinese riders, mostly from the Chapter, and we wound up at the PA State H.O.G. rally as part of the tour. I was nauseated during opening ceremonies when the Northeast H.O.G. rep spouted that rhetoric about brotherhood and sisterhood and loyalty to the Motor Company. Such crap as we now know. But, on DON’T FORGET ABOUT the bright side, I got a chance to vent on him and all I kept hearing was "we periodically review our policies". The Ladies of ACHR have been busy indeed and Laurel simply shines as the go-to lady! Baggers, touring bikes, big bikes, the kind of stuff we guys enjoy are becoming a way of life for the ladies too. I can count at least 5 more that have

Nelson was killed Tank by police when he refused to surrender, after the tank became stuck on a concrete freeway divider. By A. J. Sartin News footage of this incident has been shown nu- merous times on World’s Wildest Police Videos and other similar programs.

When you mention the VFW Post 2391, the first thing people ask is, “What kind of Tank is that in front of the Post”? The tank is a M60-A3 Patton Tank. It is on-loan from the Army. The 105 mm Gun, Full Tracked combat M60, also known unofficially as the M60 Patton, is a first- generation Main Battle Tank (MBT) introduced in December 1960. It was widely used by the U.S. and its Cold War allies, especially those in NATO, and remains in service throughout the world to- day, despite being superseded by the M1 Abrams in the U.S. Military.

In 1978, work began on the M60-A3 variant. It featured a number of technological enhancements, For Sale including smoke dischargers, a new flash-lamp pumped ruby-laser based rangefinder (AN/VVG- 2) that could be used by both Commander and Stereo Helmet Headset

Gunner, and the M21 ballistic computer, and a for turret stabilization system. All active American Ultra Classic '98 or newer. M60s eventually underwent the conversion to the A3 model. The unit was in a 2009 and never

used. The M60-A3 was phased out of U.S. service in 1997, but it remained a front-line MBT into the Asking $60 21st centuries for a number of other countries.

The M60-based AVLB and the M728 CEV were the only variants of the M60 deployed to South Vietnam. The M60-A3 in front of the Post does not have an engine or any electronics. The gun turret has been plugged and the hatches welded closed.

By-the-way, an M60-A3 Patton Tank was involved in a civilian Police Chase in 1995, when one was stolen by Shawn Nelson from a California Army

We were all done early, so wound up in lobby wait- ing for bus. This was after 2:00 and bus didn’t load until 4:15. It seemed all 5 members vanished all day, and knowing I can’t keep up with others, we just did our thing.

Long ride home with a great bus driver getting us safely back to Palm Coast and home to St. Augustine just before the heavy rains came.

By Mary Savard

Casino Trip Saturday, August 3rd, was an adventure I waited for since the meeting’s information. It might have been early getting to Palm Coast, but the bus loaded at 6:15 and was leaving at 6:30 and we were sure not to miss it. We had 7 members in our group. The bus seats weren’t too bad with my pillows, but was a long ride. There were 4 more stops along the way and bus was almost full. We paid our $35.00 each as we boarded the bus and at Tampa were given a players card, 2 ten dollar vouchers, 1 $15.00 voucher and $5.00 voucher for food. If you wanted to spend more that was on each. The noise level with music and talking, smoke lin- gering and flashing lights, it was something for me to get used of first before playing any machine. Of course I don’t know much about them, but knew watching Russ in past years about poker. Lost the first $10.00 learning, then took a break to have lunch. Russ played more then he joined me for lunch. We wandered in different rooms, and there were many, with finally settling in the room with least smoke. We played the rest of our money and had a lot of fun. In the end Russ, who usually looses, walked away with $5.00. My self, I finished my day with $16.50. I know it could have been lost if kept playing, but I wanted to bring some of the Casino’s money home instead of giving them money.
