New: Identity Theft Alert HMH has been notified of fraudulent unemployment claims filed on behalf of several of our team members as well as team members at other NJ health systems. The filing of fraudulent unemployment claims is a nationwide trend that is targeting unemployment systems when they are stretched for processing the millions of claims from the COVID-19 related employment crisis.

Princeton Claims Management (PCM) is an HMH partner who handles unemployment claim matters on our behalf. If you receive a notice from PCM regarding a suspicious claim, do not ignore it and notify your Human Resources representative. PCM recommends that if you are affected, you should report the fraudulent claim to the NJ Department of Labor by visiting: https://myunemployment.nj.gov/help/contact-us/reportfraud/.

Reminder: HMH Response to Recent National Events This morning, CEO Bob Garrett sent a memo to our team members and physicians regarding the recent events that have occurred across the nation. Hackensack Meridian Health strongly condemns all forms of racism, violence and hate. As our nation begins the hard work of addressing racial and ethnic divides, we are also taking action to ensure that we are part of the solution.

You can read Bob Garrett’s message by clicking here.

Proof of Essential Personnel In addition to your HMH issued ID badge, the HMH essential personnel notification can be used as verification in the event you’re stopped by officials as you travel to and from work. Download here and keep on-hand while traveling. Please be sure to have both items with you when traveling due to ’s stay-at-home order as well as curfews being enacted in some towns.

New: Team Members in Action & Community Support Left: More than 1,000 pounds of supplies were donated by residents of the community because of a two-week fundraiser sponsored by the Brick Township Recreation Department. Ocean Medical Center Chief Hospital Executive Jason Kreitner, Mayor John G. Ducey, Councilman Vincent Minichino, the Director of the Recreation Department Dan Santaniello, and several team members graciously accepted 19 large bins, representing the medical center’s 19 nursing units. Each was filled with hand sanitizer, scrub caps, wrapped snacks, note pads, and more.

Right: Happy 100th Birthday to our honorary team member George! George is a resident at The Willows at Holmdel. After his appearance on last week’s virtual town hall, CEO Bob Garrett asked George what his favorite cake was. George loves strawberry shortcake so Bob Garett sent George his favorite cake and an HMH jersey in honor of his 100th birthday. Welcome to the team, George!
