Safer Roads Humber enforces the speed limit at a range of locations across the region. Fixed cameras are located in the 30mph limits on Clough Road, Spring Bank West & Stoneferry Road in Hull; in the 40mph limit on Beverley Road, Hull and in the 50mph limit on A46 Laceby bypass.

Average speed cameras are in operation on Peaks Parkway, Grimsby (40mph) & in national speed limits on A1079 Beverley bypass and A1079 Market Weighton.

Mobile enforcement can take place at our core safety camera sites and at sites of community concern. However, this is the minimum speed enforcement undertaken and officers can visit any of the Partnership’s other sites or along a safety camera route, on any day of the week including evenings and weekends.

National speed limits – the maximum speed limits for cars and motorcycles is 60mph on single carriageways and 70mph on dual carriageways, less for other types of vehicles.

Humberside Police reserves the right to enforce speed limits on any road, at any time. Those who exceed the speed limit risk prosecution.

Please drive safely and watch your speed at all times.
