The village of lies 3 miles east of Tideswell Photo needed here and 5 miles from . Wardlow is located on a medieval route linking Hope to Bakewell. The village of Wardlow is of linear form located along the B6465. To the north of the main settlement is Wardlow Mires, a small group of buildings centred around the junction of the B6465 and A623. Wardlow prospered as a result of lead mining in the surrounding area, but historically and still today, farming plays a significant role in determining the character of the village. Wardlow is located within the limestone village farmlands area of the White Peak as described within the Landscape Characteristic Assessment (LSAP 2009). Wardlow Parish Statement (draft)
