Per al llibret d7/ barbero di bnon cnore, Da Ponte es basà en Le bonrrn bienfaisant [El sorrut benefactor) de Cario Goldoni. L'òpera s'estrenà a Viena el 1786. Qnan s'bi reposà el 1789, Mozart lli aportà dues àries addicionals -«Cbi sa, cbi sa, qual sia» i «Vado, ma dove? Ob, dei! »-, escrites per a la soprano Louise Villeneuve. El text és gairebé el mateix de les àries originals de Martíti i Soler, amb petites modificacions que bom ba atribuït a .Mozart. Barcelona cotiegué II i Assessorament musical presentació barbero di bnon cnore el 1794. Jaume Tribó Una cosa rara ba estat considerada l'obra mestra de Martín i Soler. S'estretià a Vietia el 1786 amb un èxit esclatant. Era una obra coneguda de totboni i això explica la citació que un any més tard, en Don Giovanni. Mozart fa de l'úbitn número del finale pvinto, (allegro ginslo en Re major en 6/8 «0 quanto tm sí bel giubilo»). Una cosa rara, representada a Barcelona el 1790, es va mantenir en repertori fins al 1825. La citació mozartiana ba servit per(|uè aquesta imisica no s'arribés a oblidar. Uarbore di Diana s'estrenà a Viena el 1787. Barcelona el 1791. La deessa Diana tenia un arbre que produïa unes ponies e.xtraordinàriament grosses. Qitan les castes nimfes de la deessa Amb el suport de: passaven sota les bramptes, si eren castes, les |)onies brillaven. Si alguna bavia |)rofanat atpte- 11a virtut, les pomes li queien al ca|j. La castedat no era la principal virtut de Diana i <[uan el Santander gran sacerdot vol que també la deessa desfili sota l arlire. Diana el fa tallar. Central Hispano La capricciosa corretta, inspirada en L'amansiment de ritarpia de Shakespeare, s'estrenà a Londres, el gener de 1795. amb el títol de La scnoL·i dei marilati. A Itàlia va ser conegttda amb el primer títol i també Da Ponte quan es refereix a atpiesta obra en les seves metnòries, escriu La capricciosa corretta. El maig del mateix any 1795 i també a Londres. Da Ponte i Martín i Soler estreneti sense gaire èxit L'isola delpiacere. A diferència de les altres obres esmetitades de .Vlartín i Soler, L'isola del piacere no arribà mai a Barcelona. Ens sorprèn la representació feta a Lei|)zig el 1804. on eti nna traducció alenianva de Mattbàus Stegmaver s'anunciava com Das Liebesfest in Katalonien.     Christine Siegert, Kristin Herold Die Gattung als vernetzte Struktur Überlegungen zur Oper um 1800 In der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts bildete sich ein Repertoire vor allem ita- lienischer Opern heraus, die in ganz Europa gespielt wurden. Dabei wurden sie bekanntermaßen an die jeweiligen Aufführungsbedingungen angepasst. Dass die so zustande gekommenen Bearbeitungen als konstitutiv für die Gattung Oper gelten können und dass Opern in jener Zeit daher als Werke angesehen werden müssen, die sich aus der Gesamtheit ihrer Quellen konstituieren, wurde an anderer Stelle zu zeigen versucht. Ein wesentliches Moment bei der Anpassung waren die sogenannten Einlagearien, die zusätzlich oder als Ersatz für andere Arien in die Opern eingefügt wurden. Es konnte sich sowohl um eigens für den neuen Kontext komponierte Arien handeln als auch um Arien, die ursprünglich aus anderen Opern stammten. Diese Arien wanderten also von einem Bühnenwerk in ein anderes – sei es auf der Basis des Notentextes, der verbreitet wurde, sei es auf der Basis des Materials, indem eine Arie einer Opernpartitur entnommen und in eine andere wieder eingefügt wurde. Gerade der letztere Vorgang zeigt, dass die Arien im Resultat beiden Opern zugehörten, der Oper, aus der sie ursprünglich stammten, und der Oper, der sie später angehören. Die Arien schaffen also eine Verbindung zwischen verschiedenen Werken der Gattung. Die Erforschung solcher Verbindungen hat sich bislang auf den Einzelfall beschränkt, etwa indem Einlagearien einer Oper als aus einer anderen Oper stammend identifiziert wurden. Indes wurde unseres Wissens noch nicht versucht, das Phänomen umfassend zu untersuchen. So haben auch wir bei unseren Recherchen zunächst begonnen, solche Einzelbeobachtungen zu sammeln.

E1 motiu d'aquesta popularitat es troba en les seues òperes, com ara Una cosa rara, que va ser un gran èxit el 1786 i que eclipsà l'estrena de Les Noces de Figaro de Mozart. L'obra del valencià es va fer tan famosa que el compositor austríac decidí incloure'n una melodia en el seu drama musical Don Giovanni. Va ser una mena d'homenatge a un dels primers músics valencians que van abandonar la seua terra per guanyar-se la vida, primer a Madrid, i després a Itàlia, Viena, Sant Petersburg i Londres. Una vida de pel·lícula És complicat seguir el rastre d'un músic professional al segle XVIII, però en aquest cas Vicent Martín i Soler va deixar una empremta que encara es manté ben visible en llocs tan dispars com Viena o Sant Petersburg. But the historical evidence makes clear that Mozart's own contemporaries saw him quite differently. In his own time, Mozart was not the single, preeminent musical figure often imagined today, but instead just one of a number of young composers striving for success in the highly competitive musical world of Josephine Vienna. Thus, our modern portrait of him as an extraordinary and singular genius was, for the most part, not shared by his contemporaries. In Mozart's lifetime much more than today, the most important and respected musical genre was opera, and this was as true in Vienna as in other major European cities. There were no full-time professional orches- tras, standing chamber-music/groups, or regular concert series, and in fact for most of the year there were no public concerts in Vienna at all, at least not in the modern understanding of the term. 1 Though concerts were given in private salons and ballrooms-some of them quite large--{)peras and spoken plays held the stages of the court theaters for nearly the entire year.

    Stephen Storace (4 April 1762 – 19 March 1796) was an English composer. His sister was the famous opera singer Nancy Storace. He was born in London in the Parish of St Marylebone to an English mother and Italian father. Relatively little is known through direct records of his life, and most details are known second-hand through the memoirs of his contemporaries Michael Kelly, the actor John Bannister, and the oboist William Thomas Parke. Stephen Storace (1762 – 1796) Nancy Storace (1765–1817) His father, Stefano Storace, an Italian contrabassist, taught him the violin so well that at ten years old he played successfully the most difficult music of the day. The composer's youth was spent entirely in the company of musicians, since his father (also a composer and arranger) was the Musical Director of Vauxhall Gardens. Mistrusting the quality of musical education available in England, Stefano Storace sent his son to Italy to study, at the Conservatorio di Sant' Onofrio, Naples. Stephen neglected his musical studies in Italy, and went on painting expeditions with Thomas Jones. His interest in art may not have been entirely extinguished, however - unlike the works of any of his English contemporaries, the printed vocal scores of all his operas feature elaborate engravings of what are presumed to be the stage-designs, and it is suggested that these drawings were Stephen's own work. No other artist, at least, seems to have claimed credit for them. Towards the end of their studies, Stephen and Nancy first made the acquaintance of Michael Kelly, whom they encountered by chance in Livorno.

Dedicated to the study of Louisiana’s contributions to the world of classical music, the award-winning program also provides educational materials to more than two thousand fourth- and eighth-grade teachers in Louisiana’s public and private schools. Since the program’s inception, musical Louisiana has garnered both local and national recognition. The 2008 presentation, “music of the mississippi,” won the Big easy Award for Arts education; “made in Louisiana” (2009) received an Access to Artistic excellence grant from the national endowment for the Arts; and “identity, History, Legacy: La Société Philharmonique” (2011) received an American masterpieces: Three centuries of Artistic genius grant from the national endowment for the Arts. “Becoming American: The musical Journey” celebrates the bicentennial of Louisiana’s statehood and complements the exhibition The 18th Star: Treasures from 200 Years of Louisiana Statehood, on view through January 29, 2012, at The Historic new orleans collection, 533 royal Street.
