No more need to have only 1 WAD (game) per ps2doom! Controller almost fully configurable, using the configuration file (ps2doom.config). It now uses freesd, instead of LIBSD. Japanese users should be happy now. And possibly PS3 compatible now? For doom2 wads, sound is no longer half sampled. Sounds the same to me, anyway… To work around this, simply add OPL 0.8 to your apps menu, and select that first. when it boots, just select this emulator like you normally would. Or you can do some auto-boot wizardry from OPL-APPS with uLE on your memory card. Those who are interested in using the HDD must read the ‘Whatsthis.txt’ file released along with the distribution. It explains exactly what settings you must change in the config-file and where to put it. Version 1.0.5.0 features a configuration file named 'ps2doom.config'. It can be manually edited to redefine the game controls at a computer or at the PS2 using uLaunchELF text editor, for example. Where to place the configuration file? At startup it looks for the configuration file first at the same folder ps2doom is running and if it doesn’t find it, then looks at memory card (mc0:ps2doom). Normally you would put the file along with the ps2doom executable but it requires a different approach when running off HDD. -

GETTING STARTED PlayStation®4 system Starting a game: Before use, carefully read the instructions supplied with the PS4™ computer entertainment system. The documentation contains information on setting up and using your system as well as important safety information. Touch the (power) button of the PS4™ system to turn the system on. The power indicator blinks in blue, and then lights up in white. Insert the Thief disc with the label facing up into the disc slot. The game appears in the content area of the home screen. (SCEI) today announced that the PlayStation®4 (PS4™) (CUH-1000A series) computer entertainment system will come in “Jet Black” color and will be available this holiday season in the United States and Europe at a recommended retail price (RRP) of US$ 399, Canada$ 399, € 399, and £ 349. The design of PS4 made its public debut at the PlayStation® press conference on June 10, 2013, which kicked off the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. PS4 will also be displayed this week at the Sony Computer Entertainment America booth at E3, one of the world's largest video game exhibitions. The internal design architecture of the PS4 system, from the optical drive and power supply unit to the cooling mechanism, has been pursed to keep the body as slim and light as possible to dramatically enhance the flexibility of the design. The PS4 features a simple but modern design accentuated by its linear flat form factors. Page 2 Résumé Ce mémoire de master a pour objet d'étude les interactions vocales dans le jeu vidéo. Cependant, il ne se limite pas à une étude historique de l'évolution de la vocalité au sein des jeux vidéo mais en propose une formalisation théorique autour de trois concepts essentiels : Mécanique, Narration et Immersion. De ces trois concepts découlent trois types de voix : les voix système, les voix narratives (linéaires et non- linéaires) et les voix d'ambiance. Dans le prolongement de cette étude et en s'appuyant sur les travaux menés dans le cadre des parties expérimentale et pratique de ce mémoire, ayant abouti à la réalisation d'un jeu vidéo basé sur l'analyse spectrale de la voix du joueur, v0x, nous proposons une extension de cette théorie de la vocalité vidéo-ludique afin d'intégrer l'inclusion de la voix du joueur au sein de ce cadre d'étude. -

Handling science the PlayStation® way Gamers are not the only ones who find the DUALSHOCK®2 controller for the PlayStation®2 easy to use and accurately reactive. German company Kleindiek Nanotechnik uses the DUALSHOCK 2 as the controller for its latest in micromanipulation technology – a device that moves in one nanometre increments! Kleindiek Nanotechnik is a high tech company that develops and manufactures nano-motors. The company’s latest technology, the new Micromanipulator MM3A (MM3A) has been developed for use by scientific researchers, surgeons or computer engineers – anyone that needs to handle miniscule particles through the precise positioning techniques of a microscopic needle. The MM3A’s needle is so small it cannot be seen with the naked eye. It moves in nanometre-steps, that is moving the needle from one atom to another for uses as varied as minimal invasive surgery such as eye and ear operations, brain research in the field of life science or even working on micro computer chips or semiconductors.
