Situation Stogumber is a thriving village nestled between the Quantock Hills and Exmoor. The village is a short drive from the wonderful walks of Exmoor and the Quantocks and convenient for the beaches and coastline of West Somerset and North Devon. Local attractions include The West Somerset Steam Railway with Stogumber station approximately one mile walk away and the shops and restaurants in Taunton and Minehead. In the surrounding countryside there are some superb walks for all ages, either through the winding country lanes with ancient hedge rows or along footpaths and across rolling hills. The small town of Williton is nearby and a little further away is the seaside resort of Minehead. Taunton, the County Town, is found to the south east and has an excellent shopping centre and a good range of schools. Directions Leave Taunton in a northerly direction on the A358 via Silk Mills roundabout. Head towards Minehead, bypassing the village of Bishops Lydeard and continue through East Coombe. On passing signs to Crowcombe on the right, look out for an old fashioned finger signpost on the left and turn to Stogumber. Proceed along this lane and into the village and at the first T junction turn right.
