MARCH 18, 2017 “CELEBRATE THE HOLY SPIRIT” CONFERENCE

HENRY B. GONZALEZ CONVENTION CENTER: A JUBILEE YEAR CONFERENCE (50TH ANNIVER- SARY) FOR CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL, AND AN INVITATION TO “CELEBRATE THE HOLY SPIRIT” WITH THE ARCHDIOCESE OF SAN ANTONIO. There will be English, Spanish and Youth Tracks. Lunch and dinner will be included in the cost for the day. We hope that everyone who has been touched by the Charismatic Renewal Movement in the Church can at- tend this special celebration. We are also inviting, and we encourage you to invite, anyone who is interested in understanding and experiencing the Holy Spirit more in their lives. ENGLISH SPEAKERS Ralph Martin will be our keynote speaker in English (author of many books; host of a television show on EWTN; President of Renewal Ministries; Director of Studies in Evangelization for the Detroit Seminary; mem- ber of Pope Francis’ Committee on the New Evangelization). Fr. Mark Goring, C.C. is the Director of the Charismatic Renewal Center in Houston, TX. Fr. Mark is a mem- ber of the Companions of the Cross which is a Charismatic Renewal inspired Association of Priests. Fr. Mark is a Spirit-filled, dynamic, young priest who directs one of the largest Charismatic Renewal Centers in the U.S. Fr. Bob Hogan, BBD, will also be giving a presentation (former chairman of the National Service Committee for Catholic Charismatic Renewal; author of the book, Celebrating a Charismatic Jubilee; Director of CCCR San Antonio).

Cost/ Costo The cost of the convention center is more expensive, and a lunch and dinner will be included in the cost. To cover our expenses we will be asking people to pay about $65.00 a person. Bilingual Prayer Ministry Training with Fr. Ed from St. Mary’s Church and prayer group has many years of experience in healing ministry. There will be handout sheets in English and Spanish. Everyone involved in prayer ministry and healing ministry are encouraged to attend. Dear Sisters and Brothers (from Edward Flores, English Committee Co-chair),

The National Catholic Charismatic Renewal has been following a 5-year prep- aration for the 50th Anniversary Jubilee of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in 2017. Our Lord has been preparing us since 2012 (Time of Life Giving Repent- ance, Pope John Paul’s Year of Repentance: “The Kingdom of God is at hand Repent and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15). This was followed by the Year of Spirit-Filled Faith, celebrating in our Church baptism in the Holy Spirit; reach- ing out to our youth and young adults. 2014 was the Year of Charisms and Grace for the Church, promoting greater and more mature use of the char- isms; being fully Catholic (ecclesial maturity) and fully charismatic. 2015 was the Year of Unity, focusing on the importance of community; reaching out to all groups influenced by the Charismatic Renewal to lay down our lives for each other. 2016 is the Year of Mission, accepting that the mission is possible! Did you accept the Mission? Renewing our zeal for souls and promoting Life in the Spirit Seminars for the New Evangelization and a culture of Pentecost.

Pope Francis is excited about 2017 (50th Anniversary Year of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, the Year of Jubilee). Fr. Bob is excited as we plan our celebration with the English Service Committee, Spanish Service Committee and our Youth Ministry (YSC) working together as many parts but one body. We will celebrate on March 18, 2017 at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center. Pope Francis will be celebrating the charismatic movement with us and our Sisters and Brothers around the world at Pentecost 2017 at the Vati- can! Jesus has given us a precious gift. Are you ready to use his gifts? Now is the time to bring your gifts and talents, as well as your generous donations, to help bring this celebration alive. The Catholic Charismatic Center is in much need of our support as we know how much expenses can accumulate bring- ing this celebration together.
