About this lecture series:
To honor Dr. James E. Dalen’s countless lifelong contributions to the advancement
of The University of Arizona and his key role in establishing The University of Arizona’s Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, the College is establishing an
endowment in his name entitled “The James E. Dalen Endowment for Public Health Policy.” This endowment supports the new James E. Dalen, MD, MPH Distinguished Visiting Professor Lecture Series in which distinguished scholars such as Dr. Frenk offer lectures and discussions to our campus community and to the public on local, state, national and international health policy issues. These lectures help connect the academic world with the “real world” of public health.
