In his ninth season Doug Hill led the Falcons to a 7-9-1 overall record with a 4-5-1 mark for a seventh place fi nish in the Western Athletic Conference. Following a thrilling double overtime win over Army West Point, Aug. 29, the Falcons extended to a 2-0 regular season record with yet another double overtime thriller against Evansville, Sept. 4.

Air Force hit a cold streak, losing six of seven games on the road including a 1-2 OT loss to No. 25 Utah Valley in their conference opener and a 2-0 loss to No. 24 Seattle in conference play that same weekend.

Returning to the home pitch on Oct. 11, Air Force put an end to the losing streak with consecutive wins over conference opponents Incarnate Word, 1-0, and UTRGV, 1-0. Houston Baptist curbed the Falcon momentum at home on Oct. 18, besting the Falcons, 2-1.

Hill took the Falcons back on the road for two conference matches against CSU Bakersfi eld and San Jose State. Air Force fell to CSUB, 1-2, and tied SJSU, 1-1.

The Falcons found some traction upon returning to Cadet Soccer Stadium on Oct. 30, with a 3-2 win over Grand Canyon and a 2-1 win over UNLV in conference play that same weekend. Air Force went on to play the fi nal match of the regular season at UMKC, Nov. 7. The Kangaroos bested Air Force, 1-0, to cap the Falcons season.
