Looking Ahead The Library continues to evolve and adapt to the ever- changing COVID-19 situation. We evaluate our services daily with the most current and available recommendations from the Lake County Health Department, Illinois Department of Public Health, and Centers for Disease Control. We are happy to be open almost all of our normal hours 7 days a week. Our priority is continuing to expand the hours that we are open to the public safely. If you haven’t visited us in a while and have some overdue items, not to worry. No overdue fees are being charged at this time. You can drop your items off 24 hours a day in Island Lake, Volo, and at the library using our convenient drive-up return bins. Finally, we know how different Kid City has been as a result of our safety measures. We continue to evaluate the safest and smoothest way to bring back interactive elements in Kid City. We hear you. We see you. We appreciate you. Thank you from the Library staff and Board of Trustees for your patience. The community will be the first to know when we can safely resume more and more services.
