Although the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) images are deliberate to know the location of the soft tissue injury, however, it is not convenient to operate immediately in the clinic. One of the standard clinic measure methods, ultrasound image, is quick and convenient to take in the clinic. However, the scanning angle and posture of the Department of Creative Ultrasound Image, Deep ultrasound probe often affect the image quality and cause difficulty in interpretation. Asia University Dr. Chi-Wen Lung [email protected] Product Design Learning, Soft Tissue. Therefore, the first step of this study will develop an ultrasound probe support system to accuracy the scanning angle and posture. The ultrasound probe support system will be automatically adjusted during different patient scanning processes to improve the scanning quality of the ultrasonic image. The second step of this study will take these benefit quality ultrasonic images to further data analyses in Deep learning. The results of this study would be better to classify the location of soft tissue injury in the clinic. ## Fee and dormitory This project offers $ 500 per person per month. Today there are major leaps forward in fields such as implantable systems, imaging, and prosthetics that are enabled by the emergence of GaN technology. Wireless power is already having an impact on implantable systems such as heart pumps. Imaging technology is also improving at an extraordinary pace! The resolution of MRI machines is being improved through the development of smaller and more efficient sensing coils using GaN FETs and ICs. Diagnostic colonoscopies are about to become a thing of the past due to today’s GaN FETs that are small enough to fit inside an ingestible tablet with a micro-miniature imaging system inside. These types of non-invasive breakthroughs significantly reduce the cost of health care through early warning and non-invasive diagnostics. To design and develop an innovative product technology platform for Normally Off GaN Department of Semiconductor, Transistor with Vth more than 1V, Breakdown Voltage more than 200V, drain current of at Asia University Bioinformatics and Biosensor, Medical least 20 mA/mm at Vg=Vd=2V with less leakage current and lower Ron. The technology is Prof. Song [email protected] Medical Engineering Device based on Nitrogen implanted GaN to convert Normally On GaN to Normally Off GaN Device. This Nitrogen implanted Normally Off device can be used for various appliances including Infrastructure and It, Wireless charging, 5G technology and in many other medical appliances. Therefore, in this proposal we propose a new normally off device technology by using Nitrogen implantation under the gate region which is cost effective and reliable compared to other normally off technologies. This Nitrogen implantation is already proven to be bio friendly in nature and Gallium Nitride device itself is non-toxic and biocompatible when compared to other wide bandgap materials. I believe that such a strong team can create Taiwan's position in biomedical electronic semiconductor device in the world. College of Information Cloud Computing, Big Cloud Computing, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence Asia University and Electrical Data, Artificial Prof. Robert Hsu [email protected] Engineering Intelligence 1. Each student for TEEP will be funded with a monthly stipend of NT$15,000 (about US$500) for a duration of 4 months. The stipend can be spent on round-trip airfare, food, local accommodation and transportation for their stay in Taiwan. Teaching, Interpretation, Asia University International College 2. The students’ main duty is to work as after-class English tutors, helping children from Ms. Li-Jiuan Wang [email protected] Museum less privileged family with their English language learning. 3. In addition, the students will be asked to do English-related odds and ends, such as English interpretation, editing, and translation for community service or local museums. 第 2 頁,共 81 頁 2020 TEEP@AsiaPlus Programs List University / Department / Theme Brief Introduction Contact Person Contact E-Mail More Info College Institute As IoT and 5G are coming swiftly, and we will be relying on them heavily, the reliability of IoT and 5G electronics, including sensors, transducers, antenna, embedded software, data storage etc are crucial because the failure of any of them will render malfunction of the system. • Sigma's 29Th International Nursing Research Congress
Sigma's 29th International Nursing Research Congress Acupressure on Anxiety in Nursing Home Residents: A Randomized-Controlled Trial I-Hui Chen, PhD, RN Master Program of Long-Term Care, College of Nursing, Taipei Medical University, Taipei, Taiwan Kuei-Ru Chou, PhD, RN School of Nursing, College of Nursing, Taipei Medical University, Taipei, Taiwan Chih-Fen Yuan, PhD, RN Yuanli Lee's General Hospital, Lee's Medical Corporation, Miaoli County, Taiwan Cheng-Jin Lin, MS Master Program of Long-Term Care, Taipei Medical University, Taipei, Taiwan Background: In Taiwan, approximately 26-35% of older adults living in long-term care institutions have suffered from anxiety perhaps due to changes in the normal patterns of life, family problems, extreme pain, dependence on others or dying process. Such issue can have negative impacts on physical and psychological health, and quality of life among residents. Interventions are required to manage the psychological symptom. Acupressure, a complementary medicine technique, has been documented that it effectively relieved the levels of anxiety, depression and stress among patients with end stage renal disease on hemodialysis. Hence, acupressure could be believed to be one nonpharmacological method that might promote psychological well-being among institutionalized elderly. Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the effects of acupressure on anxiety in residents living in nursing homes; therefore, the hypothesis was that acupressure would reduce the levels of anxiety among nursing home residents. Design: This study was a double-blind randomized control trial with longitude and repeated measures. Participants: A sample size of 62 participants were recruited from a nursing home in Taiwan and required to verify significant intervention effects at a statistical power of 80% at the end of 8-week intervention, a significant level of 0.05, 2-sided, a medium effect size of 0.5, and a presumed dropout rate of 10%.
