To the front is a block paved driveway with parking for three cars leading to an integral double garage with electric doors. There is a lawn and shrubs fronting the road.     Brief Histories of Churches in the Roath, Splott, Adamsdown, Cathays, Tremorfa, Tredegarville & Penylan areas of Cardiff Roath Local History Society in Cardiff has as its area of interest the old Parish of Roath in the 1880s. This covered not just the area we know as Roath today but also Splott, Adamsdown, Pengam, Pen-y-lan, and part of Cathays. This brief histories of churches looks at the churches that would have been in the area of old parish of Roath but also strays into neighbouring area such as Tredegarville and Cathays as a whole. There may be more churches to be included such as some mission halls that doubled up both as Sunday Schools as well as a church. A couple of synagogues are also included. Building of other faiths will be added over time, though some are already listed as former church buildings now house other faiths. Some errors and omissions in the details are likely. When the author is made aware of any errors, or additional information comes to light, the details on the website version will be updated where possible. The website also contains an interactive map that pinpoints the individual churches. In October 2011, the Commission published its Electoral Reviews - Policy and Practice Consultation Paper and invited views from its stakeholders. The Commission received 22 responses (See Appendix A). Following this consultation, the Commission published its Electoral Reviews: Policy and Practice document in March 2012. This document did not include the Commission’s Council Size policy. 2. In May 2012, the Commission published its Electoral Reviews - Council Size Policy Consultation Paper. The paper set out the Commission’s preliminary view and approach to council size determination. The Commission received 29 responses to the consultation (See Appendix B) and having taken into account the views it received, the Commission worked with the Local Government Data Unit Wales to develop a second consultation paper with updated methodology on the Council Size policy.

This report is to approve the Welsh in Education Strategic Plan 2017 – 2020 and includes a summary of consultation responses received. Background 2. Every three years each local authority in Wales is required to submit a three-year Welsh in Education Strategic Plan (WESP). A WESP is a plan that details the strategic direction for the planning and delivery of Welsh-medium and Welsh- language education in the authority. 3. The first WESP produced by Cardiff covered 2014-2017. During this time, there has been significant investment and an increase in Welsh-medium education across the city including: . 2012 - the opening of the third Welsh-medium High School in Cardiff, Bro Edern in Penylan. 2013 - a new 3FE Welsh-medium primary school in Canton, Ysgol Treganna. 2015 - an increase of 0.5FE (15 places) at Ysgol-y-Wern. 2016 - a new 2FE Welsh primary starter school for Butetown, Ysgol Hamadryad, and a new nursery with 48 Part Time Equivalent (PTE) places at Ysgol Glan Ceubal. 4. Cardiff’s new WESP will cover the period 2017-2020. The plan is underpinned and informed by Welsh Government’s current Welsh-medium Education Strategy (April 2010) and policy statement for 2016-17 (March 2016) along with the Welsh Government draft strategy: A Million Welsh Speakers by 2050. It is also an integral part of Cardiff’s five year Bilingual Cardiff Strategy (2017-2022).
