Martin (4-9, 5.16) vs. Shrimp: RHP Jeff Brigham (3-0, 0.35) Game #80 – Home Game #39 (15-23) Last Game: Jumbo Shrimp right-hander Nick Neidert and Biscuits right-hander Sam McWilliams each pitched eight brilliant innings, but Montgomery first baseman Nate Lowe’s first-inning, two-out RBI double gave his team its fifth straight victory, 1-0, in front of 2,676 on Half-Price Yuengling Monday at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The Biscuits (7-4 second half, 44-37 overall) took a first-inning lead with an unearned run against Nick Neidert (7-5). Left fielder Thomas Milone hit a leadoff ground ball to first baseman Eric Jagielo, whose error allowed Milone to reach first base. Center fielder Nick Solak grounded into a fielder’s choice, before Lowe hit a two-out RBI double to left field. From the second through seventh innings, Neidert faced the minimum 18 batters, allowing a pair of Solak singles but eliminating the baserunner with a double play each time. In the eighth inning, right fielder Nathan Lukes hit a leadoff single and advanced on a sacrifice and wild pitch before being stranded at third base. -
