Seal sightseeing safari Grab a hearty Finnish breakfast before embarking on a Saimaa ringed seal sightseeing safari. The Saimaa ringed seal is an endangered sweetwater seal species with a population of about 400 that can only be found in the Lake Saimaa area. Explore the home waters of the ringed seal and enjoy snacks (served on board). The excursion also includes a visit to a local island with the promise of a spectacular view. Amenities Finnish Sauna World The Lake Spa is built under forest terrain around natural rock that uses fresh lake water and centuries-old sunken logs to create a genuine and relaxing experience. Overlooking Lake Saimaa, the spa features five saunas—stone, hammam, steam, infrared, sunken log—and six swimming pools. By the lake, there’s a separate sauna facility consisting of three different types of saunas and an outdoor hot tub. Season's Activities Finnish nature never sleeps and activities at Järvisydän are designed around the region’s five seasons with winter divided into autumn-winter and spring-winter. The staff can help arrange guided hiking tours, cross-country skiing, long-distance skating and ice fishing xe cursions in the nearby national park. Equipment rentals are available for e-fatbikes, cross-country skis, snowshoes, skates and kick sleds. Culinary Delights Step back in time and experience traditional Finnish dining where local culinary specialties are served on wood platters and sizzling iron pans. Accommodations From scenery suites with views of the Northern Lights to private villas to a houseboat, there is accommodation for every taste. The resort’s main building houses guest rooms and suites. Scenery suites accommodate 2 or 4 persons and feature large scenic windows with amazing views of the starry sky or nightless night. The hillside and lakeside villas accommodate larger groups and are ideal for privacy. Each villa features a living room and a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The lakeside villa features a private sauna and beach. Log villas are right in the middle of the action and are perfect for families. For guests who want added luxury, there are two houseboats equipped with a wood- heated sauna, fireplace, two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a living room/kitchenette and three different patios. The latest addition to the resort is the Kota Hotel featuring three "bungalows" with glass-domed suites. Does the Järvisydän accommodation include spa entrance fee? Entrance to the spa (once a day) is included in all accommodation, except the villas and some special offers/packages. Tickets are available for the villa guests at ”additional services.”

PAGE 4 Do I have to book a table for lunch or dinner at Järvisydän? Järvisydän recommends that you always book a table in advance, and book your dinner table latest on arrival.

Are special diets taken into consideration at Järvisydän? All of Järvisydän's food is lactose-free and they take special diets into account as much as possible. Please inform the staff beforehand if food allergies or other special diets need to be taken into consideration.

How can I get to Järvisydän by bus, train? You can catch the bus from Savonilnna or Varkaus and the closest bus stop is at about 3 kilometers away from Järvisydän. Arriving from Helsinki, the closest bus stop is Hiismäki, about 15 kilometers away from Järvisydän. Coming by train, the closest train stops are in Savonlinna and Varkaus.

Järvisydän Terms & Conditions Prices include bed linen, towels, final cleaning and breakfast. Hotel, Scenery Suites and House Boats also include the entrance to the Lake Spa. For the bookings of villas, the spa entrance is 27€/adult/day, 18,90€/retired and children 4-12 years, family ticket 59.90€/2 adults and all the own children under 14 yrs. E-commerce prices may vary depending on the availability of capacity and time. Separate campaigns might have a different booking condition which will be mentioned in the bid information. Prices may also differ, given from the sales office or at the reception.

• Reservations can be made only by persons of full age (18 years). • Booking confirmation must be shown at the reception on arrival (printed or from a mobile device). The booking confirmation will be sent by email, from where you can see: Reference number, Ordered products and product description, total amount of the invoice, VAT and other data

• Check-in is at 3 pm. If the room is prepared, it may be available earlier.

• Järvisydän does not allow pets at the hotel, but pets are welcome to some of the villas and the Scenery Suites. There is an extra charge of 30€/pet/day or

50€/pet/longer stay. Cancellation of Booking Any cancellations must be made in writing by letter/e-mail specified yb the lessor. The date on which SaimaaHoliday’s sales office receives the written notification will be regarded as the date of cancellation. In case of booking cancellation of villa or a cottage:

• Not later than four (4) weeks prior to the start of the rental period, the client will receive the deposit with the deduction of 90€ as cancellation fees. • Less than four (4) weeks prior to the beginning of the rental period, the client has to pay the full price for the accommodation.

In case of booking cancellation of a hotel room, Scenery Suite, Kotasuite or HouseBoat:

• Järvisydän individual clients have a right to cancel the booking without a cancellation fee, 7 days before the day of arrival. • The exception for the cancellation is celebration packages and other packages where payment and cancellation conditions are defined separately, sickness or Force majeure cases. • If the cancellation is made later than 7 days but more than 1 day before the day of arrival, a fee of 90€ will be charged. • In the cases of now show and when the cancellation is made later than 24 hours before arrival, the hotel has a right to charge the full amount of the reservation. Activity Services The client is obliged to comply with the instructions of the program service manual. If the client violates the instructions, he or she is liable in respect of damage caused to the full. Client’s responsibility to inform in advance of the diseases or other causes that may affect the

PAGE 5 execution of the program service. The Guide has the right to suspend the program service if the client endangers safety. In case of booking cancellation of an Activity Service:

• Järvisydän individual clients have a right to cancel the booking without a cancellation fee, before 4:00 p.m. of the previous day. • Booking and cancellation terms and conditions for groups will be agreed upon separately at the booking stage. • Saimaa Holiday: sales office will not compensate the client for expenses incurred by the cancellation. • Saimaa Holiday: sales office recommends passengers take out travel insurance, including cancellation insurance.
