Some of the thunderstorms dumped locally heavy rain and small hail to portions of southwest Utah, causing some minor street and dry wash flooding in and around the St. George area during the evening of the 6th.

May 8th - Showers and thunderstorms developed over the mountains of Utah, with the storms across the north drifting to the west across the Wasatch Front. The heaviest rain fell across Davis and Weber counties.

The views from Saratoga Springs shows early development of the thunderstorms over the mountains (center) followed a few hours later by thundershowers (right) as the easterly flow brought the storms into the valleys. May 15th - Scattered high based thunderstorms brought strong and gusty winds along with sporadic rain showers to mainly northern and central Utah during the afternoon and evening hours. The strongest microburst winds occurred over the Great Salt Lake deserts and mountains, the Salt Lake and Tooele valleys, and portions of the northern Wasatch mountains.

May 17th-20th - A slow moving and moist storm system brought widespread rainfall and high elevation snow to much of the Beehive State. The heaviest rain fell across the northern third of Utah, especially the Wasatch mountains and mountain valleys and the northern Wasatch Front. Several inches of snow fell above the 8000 foot level.

May 2nd - Record low minimum temperatures were set at Brigham City 24 (28/1972), and Laketown 19 (19/2001).

May 3rd - Record low minimums were broken at Alta 15 (18/1988), and Utah Test Range 27 (29/2008).

May 13th - Six spots set record high maximum temperatures...Bountiful-Val Verda 91 (88/2007), Laketown 81 (81/1944), Randolph 80 (80/1984), Salt Lake Int’l Airport 93 (92/1996), Utah Test Range 92 (89/2007), and Wendover 93 (93/1936).

May 14th - Three locations set record high maximums...Alta 68 (66/1993), Salt Lake Int’l Airport 89 (89/1936), and Utah Test Range 91 (85/1997). Record high minimum temperatures were set at Fillmore 59 (58/2006) and Zion Nat’l Park 64 (64/1938).
