Feel free to ask any Lodging team member if you need any of these items replenished. If you forgot to pack any other toiletries, please come see us at the front desk. We should have what you need available for purchase. The Air Force Inns Promise “Our goal is to provide you a clean, comfortable room to guarantee a good night’s rest and pleasant stay. If any part of your stay with us is not satisfactory, please provide the lodging manager or front desk staff an opportunity to ‘make it right’.” General Information Guest Responsibilities Please help us to conserve utilities by using energy conservation measures; i.e. turning off all lights and lowering temperature settings when leaving your room. For your safety, please comply with fire, health and safety regulations. Make a note of the evacuation routes. Please inform the guest reception desk of any identified safety issues. Please report damages to furnishings or missing government property so we can collect reimbursement to help keep lodging costs to a minimum. In some cases, the general manager processes a report on loss or damage to NAF assets in accordance with AFI 34-202 to collect reimbursement for damage beyond fair wear and tear and for missing government property caused by abuse or negligence on their part or by their guests. Guests are responsible for their conduct and that of their guests and/or family members while in government lodging. Please observe quiet times, 2200—0700 hours, so everyone has a pleasant stay. At no time will children be left unattended in the Temporary Lodging Facilities. Children must be supervised at all times, to include the playground. Lodging Responsibilities Mountain View Inn pledges to provide our guests with optimal customer service and courteous, efficient support staff. If you have suggestions or ideas how we may better serve you, please let us know by filling out the Air Force customer comment form located in your room or in the guest reception area. We are here to serve you, our valued guest. Lodging Fees Lodging Fees are as follows: VQs $84.00, TLFs $93.00, Business Suites $94.00, and General Suites $95.00. Add $10 per night for “Pet-Friendly” facilities. Guests not traveling on official government orders are required to pay in advance for room charges. All guests traveling on official government orders must present a valid credit card at check in or advance payment for the entire stay is required. In addition, all long-term guests are required to make payment on their account every 15 days. Abused guest rooms, smoking in the room, or having pets in unauthorized rooms will be assessed a $150 cleaning fee. Check Out Time Check out time for all rooms is 1100 hours. If an emergency arises, please contact the front desk for a possible late check out authorization. Guests will be charged a late check out fee (a one-day charge) if they fail to receive authorization from the front desk and/or manager in advance. Receiving Mail To receive mail and packages from the U.S. Post Office, please go to the Base Post Office (building 344). The Post office will set up a General Delivery mailbox in your name. General Information Continued Clock Radio To set Alarm: Press ALARM SET. (Alarm time will flash) Use arrow buttons to set desired time. Press ALARM ON/OFF button and choose either radio or buzzer on display. To turn alarm off, press ALARM ON/OFF button and choose ALARM OFF on display. Coffee Pot Plug coffee pot into electrical outlet For single cup use: Plug coffee pot into electrical outlet Remove filter holder and place with coffee packet Place coffee pod into top front of the machine Pour in water through the filter slot Pour a cup of water into the top back of the Replace carafe in cradle to hold brewing coffee machine Press start button Place empty coffee cup in front to hold brewing coffee Press start button Dishwasher Load dishwasher with dishwasher-safe items Add dishwasher detergent to soap holder and close Close and lock dishwasher door Select desired cleaning level DVD Player Turn television on and select channel 3 or AUX on the remote Press power button on DVD player and insert disc Press play button Electric Can Opener Plug electric can opener into electrical outlet Lift piercing arm and place item to be opened on the lip rest Press piercing arm down to begin opening General Information Continued Electric Stove Identify burner for use Select matching control knob Turn knob to desired heat setting Fan Place fan on a level surface and plug into electrical outlet Point fan in desired direction Select fan speed Control rotation by knob on top of unit Gas Stove Identify desired burner for use Select matching control knob Push knob in and turn to right for burner to ignite Turn knob to set desired flame Hair Dryer Remove hair dryer from wall mount Press ON button When finished, replace unit in wall-mount Iron Pour water into the top of the iron Plug iron into electrical outlet Selecting heating temperature will activate iron Follow heating temperature guidelines provided on iron Microwave To cook, place covered item in microwave removing all aluminum items Press keypad to display desired time (minutes and/or seconds) Press start; microwave will beep when time has expired General Information Continued Swamp Cooler (Bldg 134 & 472) Turn dial on to Pump Only and let circulate for 10-15 minutes Make sure window is open a little Turn dial to either High Cool or Low Cool Thermostat-Steam (B350) Ensure left switch on thermostat is on heat or cool Ensure right switch on thermostat is on auto Adjust thermostat to desired temperature Turn AC control knob to low, medium or high Thermostat—Central (B1118) These units can be controlled by thermostat located in the living room Thermostat (B480) These units can be controlled by thermostat located in the living room. If you have any questions, call the front desk. Thermostat (B472) To turn heat on, turn the thermostat to heat from fan and adjust the slider to high, low, or medium in bedroom and living room. Television Press On/Off button on remote control Press channel increase or decrease arrow to view desired channel Or Key in channel selection by using numbered keypad then press enter (if applicable) Press volume increase or decrease arrow for volume control General Information Continued ATTENTION: Electrical Shock: Please look for frayed cords and broken outlets before using an appliance in your room. Please report any problems to the front desk. Always keep electrical items away from water. Burns: Always use the appropriate protective equipment, gloves, hot pads, etc. If burned, seek medical attention immediately. Sharp Objects: Please be careful using the knives in your room. Only use them for their intended purpose. If cut, seek medical attention immediately. Natural Gas: If you are in a room with a gas stove or smell gas in any room, evacuate immediately and notify the front desk. (Dial “0”, or “801-777-0801”) Box Elder Bugs Season: May-October. These winged red and black bugs are harmless. EMERGENCIES: If you have a fire, police or medical emergency, please contact 911. If you’re calling from your cell phone, please ask to be directed to Hill AFB 911 and include your Bldg # and Room # Security Forces can be reached at 801-777-3056. If your need is of a medical nature, you will find the Davis Hospital and Medical Center located at 1600 West Antelope Drive in Layton with easy access from I-15 at exit #332.
